why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - darthbeck - 08-28-2009 why do they not have one? i can understand wanting to avoid the angry peasents, but when there is a real problem, the only way you can do anything, is ether try and find someone to PM, or post something rather like a trial by forum. edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEJutpWdjP8 why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - Virus - 08-28-2009 Because all feedback can be sent to me via PM. Not difficult, and I don't ignore it. Edit: I could make a feedback thread that says to PM me (and is locked), if you believe that will help. Having it open will likely only cause a flame war or allow it to fill with meaningless complaints. That, and I'd probably never remember to check it! why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - MB52 - 08-28-2009 A public place for all to see such feedback would be nice however, for any official faction. why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - Turkish - 08-28-2009 I'm personally of the feeling that faction feedback threads should be an obligation upon being granted official status, both past and present. Sorry Rob <.< why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - darthbeck - 08-28-2009 and virus, i'm gonna resist posting the video on the forums for now. why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - darthbeck - 08-28-2009 congratulations. the video is getting posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEJutpWdjP8 why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - Agmen of Eladesor - 08-28-2009 Posting in this thread does not remove your need to maintain a civil tongue about things. - Agmen why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - Eppy - 08-28-2009 ' Wrote:I'm personally of the feeling that faction feedback threads should be an obligation upon being granted official status, both past and present. Signed. I understand that the Phantoms are a flame-inviting faction, but frankly, I think we can easily enough tell the difference between 'Hey, this makes no sense and you're doing this, this and this wrong' and 'u blew me up u nubs I bounty and prawn u now!!!1' and delete it. The Phantoms, just like any other faction, are not perfect (indeed, no better than any other faction), and, by the nature of their RP, need to be under much heavier scrutiny than other factions. EDIT: ...I'm sorry, but that video reinforces my point. why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - n00bl3t - 08-28-2009 ' Wrote:I'm personally of the feeling that faction feedback threads should be an obligation upon being granted official status, both past and present. why do the phantoms not have a feedback thread? - BaconSoda - 08-28-2009 I have one very simple question to ask, not even regarding the video, but the Phantoms in general: how do you expect us to Roleplay extensively without a partner? I dare anyone, not just a pirate (though Unlawfuls are the ones who most often experience this problem), to Roleplay well with only one person. Sure, we can sit there screaming off the stories of our lives for an hour before shooting, but, is that really what everyone wants? No. This is even more true for the Phantoms, Wilde, Nomads, and Terrorists in general. They have no traditional gain possible for them. No possible gain of credits or material. What do we gain, then? Roleplaying. We gain Roleplaying, and these factions are populated for that sole purpose. If I wanted to kill people, I would log onto an LN in New York, or a Rogue for the other side. I could easily find more than my fair share of fights. But I cannot Roleplay on that character like I can on the Phantom. I can't demand that someone tell me a riddle if the circumstances are right. I have to demand something monetary. I can't demand that someone sings a song on an LN. I have to stop people breaking the law. I log onto that character for the sole purpose of RPing and finding someone who can give me a reason not to kill them. Sadly, it doesn't come often. But what am I really getting at? It is the fault of both partners if an RP fails. Sometimes one more than the other. If an RP wasn't enjoyable, look at what you contributed to it, and think about it. If everyone here did that, I think they'd be surprised at what they find. |
