I have noticed, If you leave the nebula in minor, sometimes you get a completly black background, and sometimers you get the new York backgroud. But yes, there is such a thing.

Weird, theres no [Background] section in the St01 file. Maybe it's random? Or most probably, leaving it that way generates a black background? Or it's hardcoded?:wacko:

What do you mean by sol background?
There is black bg in Evolutions mod (1.3 and probably other versions), if you ask Chips he might permit you to use it.
