New to Discovery - astrayaluveaux - 08-30-2009
Hiya folks.
After many years I decided to reinstall Freelancer and have another go at it. I decided this time though that I did not wish to play the vanilla SP campaign, and that I wanted to spice things up a bit. So I went mod hunting, and found this mod at ModDb.
I have to say that I am very impressed with this mod. Modding FL has made huge leaps since back when I used to play this, and Lancers Reactor was the place to be. This was the first mod I downloaded, and have activated thru the MM, and I am hooked. I am even thinking about giving the RP Server a shot, and making a character, something I have never done before on any game. :D
But before I do that, I am going to continue to poke around in the game in SP mode, exploring and learning the changes made.
I just wanted to say that I give this mod two thumbs up so far, and to thank you for the time and effort put forth. Hopefully I'll catch you all online in a week or two.:)
P. S. I realize that the new version of Disco has the SP campaign disabled, does anyone have a link to an older version? I wouldn't mind giving SP a shot with some of the new ships. :P

Hey.
Just get the new version, load up your FLServer.exe and play in your own MP universe - with no other players!
Then once you have decided to stay, come onto the UK server where we utterly OWN the 'sairs!;)

Ooor alternitvely go to the main Disco server and learn the ropes from many people
then maybe go to any server you like.

If not, dunno, sorry.
Anyways, depending on whether you want a crowded server with lot (frequently 200) other people, or a relatively empty (normally no more than 10 in my experience) depends on whether you want the official disco RP server or the UK one. Or even go for the USA one, 30-40 people on average I thinks.
