A new plugin for FLhook for the server.
/info
/setinfo would allow players to give a brief description about their character. By targeting the ship and entering /info, it would be displayed.
This would allow more interesting encounters, when "//Check my forum rp" can be avoided, instead, allowing the player to allow others to see a description of the character he is logged on in-game.

Good idea to be honest.
Maybe a short description as if given by an ingame body. EG Jumphole infocards, they be the sort of inRP I am on about.

No..i mean, like you /pingtarget and it gives you the info, by /Info targeting you simply get the text that the player has set.

I like this idea, but will the server/game engine cooperate is the immediate question.
I think an example if I understand this right is this:
Target LPI-Sentinel.101
/info
"Sentinel 101 is a AI fighter craft developed by the LPI"
That is as basic as it can get.
Also, wold or should there be a character limit? I mean, there would need to be, right?

I... like this idea very much. I don't know if it's possible, but we can try.
Only problem I see with it is, sometimes, certain people don't know (and aren't supposed to know) certain things about other people. To use the old Corsair/Outcast rivalry as an example, an Outcast probably wouldn't be aware of the back-story of some Corsair that they're trying to blow up.
Depending on what someone puts into their "info," this command could abused by metagamers and the like. Of course, that just makes it the player's responsibility to be careful what they tell other people.
