What if we made the rogue dessie into a Molly dessie instead...could the Rogues get a Rogue specific VHF or maybe a light bomber?
Rogues are pirates and the new Cassini will make the idea that the dessies are used as defence an absolete idea, really.
So i was wondering, would the Rogue/Molly dessie could be made Molly only instead, the Rogues, however gaining access to more Rogue-specific ships?
Currently we have no generic VHF or a light bomber, which would make a few operations rather easier to do.

I never really saw neither the Rogues nor the Mollys having the need for a heavy Cruiser. But more ships for the pirate line ? Hell no. The shipline is already twice the size of most others ...

I guess that's why Sindi said 'Rogue specific'. You know, like the Falcata could be considered Outcast (bad example i know, but i'm almost falling asleep so....). I personally wouldn't mind the Rogues getting a light Bommber. The Barghest is epic yes, but not if you have 5 Guardians on your 6 while you try to down that damned LABC shooting your 8 firends.

If the Rogues lost their dessie then they'd start running around in the shiny, uber-advanced black-hole-powered Outcast Destroyer again and I'd turn into Godzilla and mash up New York.

Eppy, Noone uses the dessie anyway. Or just remove the "can use cruisers" part out of the rogue ID.

Personally, I don't mind getting rid of rogue player-owned dessies, but I draw the line at getting rid of the "Drunken Codger" in the dark matter cloud. We need a "mobile" base to refuel, launch raids from and if all else fails flee towards shouting "eeeeeeeek!'', and I don't think a GB would quite work.

Could be an interesting project. But to be honest I think the two groups just have two waaay diferent design philosofies. You strive for bricks with enough firepower to bash everyones face in, we strive for bricks ... that ... are really crappy ... and have alot of nanobots.
... Hrmmm , maybe something like a rogue Armored Transport ?
