Unpaid bountyhunters? - silverleaf - 09-06-2009 Hi, for the purposes of founding my faction one day, I'd like to know: If its possible to engage and kill pirates UNPAID with this ID. Or can it only engage order and allies (corsair, zoner, hogosha) and nomads? Because they seem to be all over, and the NPC bountyhunters seem to be doing that. Just asking, a YES/NO answer will do with what I can and cannot do. THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION (avoids me getting flamed again). It does allow me to take my gunboat anywhere and my bship in a large number of locations... Cos I wanna start an unpaid vigelante system with bountyhunter ID and IFF (as in an overrighteous wing of bountyhunters no longer doing it for just the money). CORE ID: --------------- Price: 1000000 - Bounty Hunters Guild Core ID Pilot carrying this ID is a member of the Bounty Hunter Guild Core, who : Is in a state of war with The Order and Nomads, and may engage Order or Nomad affiliated individuals without a bounty. Can engage and destroy any pilot actively assisting another Order pilot or Nomad. Can engage and destroy any ship produced by The Order without a bounty, even if the faction affiliation of the pilot is not Order. Cruisers and Battleships can only operate within the Omicron, Omega and Sigma systems but fighters, bombers, freighters, prison liners or gunboats may operate anywhere in Sirius that the Bounty Hunter ID permits. Can only fulfill bounty contracts against fighters or gunboats by using a fighter, bomber, freighter, or gunboat, unless the target is in a capital ship, then the same class of capital ship may be used to collect the bounty, but Core cruisers and battleships can only collect bounties within the Omicron, Omega, or Sigma systems. Can demand allied pilots, Nomad technology and Nomad specimens from other ships and destroy ships if they refuse to hand them over. Cannot demand credits or other cargo from anyone. Cannot ally with any unlawfuls Cannot participate in any unlawful action. Cannot use any Liner except the Prison Liner. Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, the Armored Transport, Gunboats, Prison Liner, Cruisers, Battleships Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime. ----------------- Normal ID: Pilot carrying this ID is a member of the Bounty Hunters Guild, who : Can fulfill lawful bounty contracts, Can trade and escort traders, Can hunt pirates and terrorists across Sirius, Can demand cargo or credits from ships carrying contraband and destroy them if they refuse to comply, Cannot ally with any unlawfuls, Cannot participate in any unlawful actions, Cannot use any Liner except the Prison Liner. Allowed ships: Fighters, Bombers, Freighters, Gunboats, Prison Liners. Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime. --------- SECTIONS OF INTEREST ARE IN BOLD. So is it the normal ID can have more freedom but limited to gunboat as biggest, and core id means more ships but can only PWNZORZ order and their allies? Unpaid bountyhunters? - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 09-06-2009 The core are not your average hunters, they are more a private military, and as such, recieve a salary instead of having to claim bounties for a living. So, you can engage anyone with a bounty if you are in a fighter/bomber/gunboat/gunship though caps are different. As im sure you know the core caps are restricted, but i think they can engage any criminals within that area. Unpaid bountyhunters? - silverleaf - 09-06-2009 Because it appears core can only hunt allies of the order without bounty (or so the ID says). Only the normal one can hunt pirates throughout sirius but can only have gunships and I cant cruise around sirius in my bship (which I understand unless they attack me I can't use it against smaller craft). Unpaid bountyhunters? - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 09-06-2009 A core IDed hunter can engage order ships and their allies at will, but the (restricted) caps can engage any bounty carrying ship of an equel or greater class. Unpaid bountyhunters? - silverleaf - 09-06-2009 What about smaller craft? Can the core fighters/bombers engage any craft without bounty, or is that only for normal ID? Believe this is what i've been waiting so long for, no biggie if my capship can't go too far. I'm damn sick of the order ordering me around in singleplayer campaign, time for some PAYBACK. So I shall have 2 characters, one in a gunboat another in a cappie. The gunboat patrols the trade lanes, the cappie patrols order space. Unpaid bountyhunters? - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 09-06-2009 Core fighters, bombers and gunboats are roughly the same as regular hunters of the same class, except being able to engage order and their allies without a bounty. Unpaid bountyhunters? - Belco - 09-06-2009 shouldnt you be IN the BHG-Core before you start using their ID? (im pretty sure there's a rule, i cbf digging it up now though) but isn't it similar to the HellFire Legion ID and NovaPG one? you cant be an indy and use it. so unless you want to join them, you use the normal ID and no capships. Unpaid bountyhunters? - Montezuma/Kukulcan - 09-06-2009 The BHG core ID is baisically the BHG guard ID, just with a slightly different name. Unpaid bountyhunters? - silverleaf - 09-06-2009 No cahships? It says I can gunboat around. Then I'll get another character to join the core for the battleship (will sort that out later, PMed the boss) Unpaid bountyhunters? - tansytansey - 09-06-2009 I'll make this simple for you: Core ID can only attack Order and allies and nomads without bounties, and only in the Omicrons. Anyone else needs a bounty on their head for you to attack them. Capital Class vessels are only allowed to operate in the edge worlds, Omicron and Omega, and possibly Sigma. Bounty Hunter ID can only attack pirates with a bounty on their heads and are not allowed to fly Cruisers or Battleships |
