Making a Xeno - looqas - 09-06-2009 I made a switch of one of my chars to xeno. I've got the tag and the ID, the problem is getting rid of the friendlies. At Ouray I can get anti-junker, anti-rogues, anti-bhg, but the main problems are the other liberty criminals like Hackers and OC. So can I get any missions against them in any Xeno base? The server is usually quite full so no surplus of NPCs around and I'd like to work towards the Xeno guard rep too to be able to buy all the stuff I need. I'm sure I definitely need a Roc to make any difference around NY, so getting the equipment for that in Tau-45 ain't going to happen on my own without a guard being green. So any help and suggestions how to go about it? Making a Xeno - agentmike - 09-06-2009 well if you cant get the reps down, just trust your RP. in RP, simply dont affiliate yourself with them in any way. the reps are not required..... Making a Xeno - Weedalot - 09-06-2009 i think the xenox id have a ninja in it as well, Thank you cannon Making a Xeno - looqas - 09-06-2009 ' Wrote:i think the xenox id have a ninja in it as well, Thank you cannon Huh? You are not making sense to me. Care to elaborate? Making a Xeno - agentmike - 09-06-2009 ' Wrote:Huh? You are not making sense to me. Care to elaborate? the rep "ninja" is a feature, created by the amazing, now admin, known as cannon. on SOME id's, when you mount the ID, it automatically adjusts your reputations accordingly. for example, if you mount the Pirate ID, it makes your reps hostile to all lawful factions, but you can still maintain good reps with all unlawful factions and neutral factions. if your purchase outcast ID, it makes you hostile to all the outcasts enemies. but the "rep ninja" does not affect all IDs.....just some of them.... Making a Xeno - looqas - 09-06-2009 Alright. I'll try mounting and remounting it. Can you repeat it until you got the desired rep? Making a Xeno - tansytansey - 09-06-2009 More IDs need rep ninjas. It'd be a massive task but it would help greatly... I wish the Rogue ID had one. My opinion would be to just make sure at least the Police, Hunters and Rogues are red. If police a red, then all the lanes are red, which means all the stations and npcs near the lanes will be red when you fly past. Any transport NPCs you stop at a lane will turn red. Can you repeat it until you got the desired rep? repeat mounting??? once its mounted, your rep should be changed to make anyone hostile to xenos faction hostile to you character. if the rep ninja doesnt work when you mount the ID the first time, then it doesnt work at all for that ID EDIT: i'll see if i can find the rep ninja post real quick... EDIT AGAIN: its here somewhere, but i have to go to bed for now.... Making a Xeno - looqas - 09-08-2009 Unmounting and remounting did not do the trick, so I need to do this the old fashioned way. Main problem is Lane Hackers being green to me. I can get anti-Rogue missions, so eventually they will be effective, but anyone know the full variety of Xeno missions? Also I need to get to neutral with the Universal (I think I can get a bribe at Ames although it's a slim chance ~3%) If I start blasting away others I'll end up messing the rep board even further. Making a Xeno - Dusty Lens - 09-08-2009 The rep ninja isn't persistent, afaik, so if you adjust a rep following mounting it will not "reset" thereafter. Xeno reps are very very difficult to maintain. I don't think I've ever had one that survived past the repping process. Even then I tended to end up in some very strange situations. Sometimes the navy will be neutral to you, sometimes the local unlawfuls will, almost always you'll end up full green to the IMG/Order and even Corsairs. While it's tricky to balance out killing NPCs, if not tiresome, generally just try to do your best to ensure that the local situation is as it should be. Typically if the navy is angry at you in Liberty you'll have few complaints, the unlawful NPCs are of such low level that there's not much harm in not having them shoot at you right off the bat. |
