Yes, I know many dislike anime, but thus besides the point.

The title of Link Removed - Agmen made it rather clear what was in the thread. Failing that, the first post even explains that ecchi, whilst "suggestive", is not like "that". (Considering that I doubt the kawaii pictures got the thread locked.)

The only controversial images I see are the following:

Links removed - Agmen

First of all, I am sure, that PG-13, even sometimes G movies have a kissing scene in them. Unless of course we are discriminating based on sexual preference, and two girls kissing is somehow beyond all sense and sensibility. (As for the torn clothing, it was right after a massive mecha battle and the blonde got injured. Nothing sexual, in that sense.)

Second, the pocky sharing picture. Ga-rei Zero, the anime in question has one true pocky scene, which is where all the "Pocky-lesbian scene guaranteed" memes spawned from. Even in that scene, it is not so much shoujo-ai, or yuri, just a joke taken too far. In the picture, there is a bit of panties showing which is the only thing I can find which could justify it being removed as a permissible picture.

Thirdly, the grope scene. It looks bad. It really does. Until you realise that the person in the middle is Mizuho Miyanokouji, a guy at an all girl's school. The two girls in the scene are squishing his fake breasts because they caught him peeking at the other girl's changing. (They are all changing for sport.)

Regarding the general ecchi nature of the thread, we have allowed something along similar lines as well.

Regarding the panty shot, we have allowed it before as well. (We all know how many times the lamp is a lie demotivational has floated around these forums without question.)

So, if these few pictures violated such forum rules:

* Why were these specific pictures not removed and a warning issued?
* Why was the thread locked with no proper explanation? (Instead I find some of Dusty's and Blodo's very helpful humour.)
* Why were no PM's distributed as to why they were locked? (I had to PM a moderator, whose answers were rather vague.

It is really your choice to enter the thread, especially when there are plenty of warnings telling your exactly what is going on.

Maybe, some things were overlooked and plenty of people were complaining and those with the forum privileges decided to quickly lock the thread.

Either way, it looks like a shoddy, misinformed decision, when other alternatives to locking it with a non-existent reason presented, were available.

Read my post further in here. Age, even apparent age, of the subject matter makes all the legal difference in the world - or as far as the courts are concerned. What's legal where you live may not be legal where I live. - Agmen

From what I heard, it was the ''softporn'' ecchi which got us the lock. Perhaps linking them next time would get us less troubles?

I have no problem linking, or removing images deemed to not fit the forums under a universal rating scheme. What I dislike was the lack of choice and warning, complemented with an unexplained lock.

It's true that I didn't get a single warning before the lock, which I would have expected since I think my first post was enough of a warning for everyone.

Adding to my original statement about the ecchi content, this also turned up today.

If you can't see the difference between the said two you're really weird.

Those girls you keep posting up are minors, those girls the African mr awesome keeps posting (and should post more) are models. Yeah.
edit: no panties there.

Uhm, ew... Lesbos...

Keep that stuff low, there's plenty of kids around.

That Jap drawing style's ew in general though. Well, maybe the drawing's okay, despite the obvious eye-related complex, but more often than not, the... "story" if it can be called that seems to be a product of intoxication by varioust chemical agents rather than wit.

And if matering the art of drawing is what they want... I know plenty better places for them to exhibit it. And none of them includes comic books/cartoons.

Right.

Only Mizuho is a genuine high-schooler.

Pocky girls are demon-type things and the two other girls are thousand year old priestesses, who have amnesia.

Edit: If you read the post, the panties point was made elsewhere, not at Angelfire's thread.
