Server limit - Tenacity - 09-07-2009 I've been trying to connect for over twenty minutes now. I know there are hardware/software issues with higher server capacity, but there has to be -something- we can do to fix this. Is there a way to have FLhook kick people from the server if they dont perform any action for X amount of time? Like base idling but in space... at least if we could do that it'd free up quite a few slots, I always see people sitting around afk at peak hours. Server limit - Drake - 09-07-2009 I usually don't have much trouble joining the server if I just keep clicking, even at peak times. Takes a couple minutes at most. I think it's been said that about the only thing that could be done is to make two servers, for different halves of Sirius (probably NY on one, Alpha/Gamma on the other). Server limit - Cyberanson - 09-07-2009 We already have a ten minute idle kick watchdog. What I could imagine is a script, which dynamically shortens this time to let's say five minutes at peak times. Server limit - Tenacity - 09-07-2009 Problem is I get a huge delay when attempting to connect, not really sure why. I click on the server, it says 200 latency, but I have to sit for about 20 seconds with a frozen screen before it either connects me or says the server is full. And then it stopped, also don't know why. Server limit - William Frederick Cody - 09-07-2009 It is possible: ![]() Screenshot is from the 19th of february 2008. Server limit - kindred - 09-07-2009 Took me two minutes to connect to a full server. *shrugs and walks away* Server limit - Unseelie - 09-07-2009 I've a real issue with laggyness at the same time as the full server, because peak server is around peak internet use at my college...so I spend up to 20 minutes trying to get online, at occassion. Lucky for me, that's mostly the middle of the day, so I can justify waiting till the evening to play. What I want, frankly, is to not be ridiculously frustrated if I try to log in during peak hours. |
