Recently I've observed that every fourth poster in the stock exchange is selling an LABC. I'm wondering why.

Do they suck?

Enlighten me.

Maybe the bad stigma people have given them....

They either realized capships aren't for them, or they know the new players think they're cool and want them. I don't think it's a question of their stats.

I've seen what people can do in LABC's. Ungodly things to untrained bombers/gunboats. Used in the right hands, the LABC is one of the best cruisers in the game. However, its usually in the hands of people who haven't a clue how to use one.

Thus, we see "LNS-XXX has been destroyed by a hostile vessel" popping up every now and again.

I've always thought of getting one of these - but now, I'd rather not.

After all, why get a battlecruiser when you can get a light fighter.

Cap ship sales as a whole have gone up in numbers and luckily down in initial price. Which is good! It's a sign that there's a big turnover of players here as well as people wanting to try something that takes a bit more skill.

Some people buy a ship then discover they don't enjoy it - due to play style, cost, harrassment in game, etc.

I'd say it might have a fair bit to the night-time efforts of myself and many others to buy four hours grace for the innocent Bloodhound pilots.
