Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Guest - 09-14-2009 A few of my ideas... There are a meepton of items to build in FLhook, for example. A possible item you buy on base /buyitem sensor It would be a placable proximity trigger, which would, upon a player controled entity entering it's radius, notify the owner as the allmighty green message. Playername detected by Sensor 1 Imagine this placed by either side of Alaska gates by LSF. Or maybe on jumpholes for bounty hunters. Near tradelanes for pierats. (damnit, i need to run to the store, ill edit and add the other ideas in 15min, take a look about those above.) BE ARR BE Edit: Mining script: A player enters the field and enters the command. Every ammount of set time, a fixed number of the minables are added to the hold. Could only be avalable by mining ships and would drain energy over time. Would provoke players to mine more. NPC bounty scripts: At a random, a certain npc may have a pre-set bounty on their name, since ive noticed some of the names tend to repeat themselves. So, either, when killed, the npcs drop something of higher value ( 100k credit cards, class 9 guns, maybe some other artifacts), or the ammount of money is added to the players bank. Each npc faction should have one npc that can be either found on a mission or in the random spawns. Salvage script: By running this script at a players location which has died, there is a small chance that one of the items from the players own wreck is added to your cargo. Say you salvage a weapon or two, but this may be abused, so high end stuff like armor or codes shouldnt be lootable. Crafting script: By having the nececery items in your hold you can craft some unique items, like, for example, from many low end weapons, metal, alloy, conductors and light arms, you could turn all of that and, say, six Pyros into a Kraken class 9. Would be interesting to see "weaponsmiths" so to speak. Each succesful craft would reise the precentige of the next succesful try by 1% at a maximum of 80% Armories: You can enter a code on a base, where you buy, say, 6 x 70 nuke mines. You pay the money for such a transaction and your cargo space is taken up obviously. Then, in fight, as a support ship, you can enter the code and the target to transfer a fixed ammount of said items on it (ofcourse keeping in mind that the ship cannot hold more than 70 actual ammo items. Allright, now imma gonna do chores. Ill add more stuff later. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Ayem - 09-14-2009 ' Wrote:A few of my ideas... Ooh. Interesting. However, controlled by only one player entity? If this is the case, how many can each player drop? What is the life time of these devices? Do they degrade over time, or vanish when the player disconnects? Are they objects or invisible? Are they destructible? Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Tomtomrawr - 09-14-2009 That sounds like a great idea. I think they should be there until the person logs off or it is destroyed. They should be small objects, detectable to players and can be destroyed very easily. Would definately help my BH Gunship catch some Slavers, or to know when your at the trade lane Sindy. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Guest - 09-14-2009 When im at the lane, foo, you are in my group. Also, they are invisible as not to complicate things and are removed if the player dies or disconnects. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Guest - 09-14-2009 First post updated. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Vrouw - 09-14-2009 This is a very interesting idea. I like it. The Sensors would be great for when I'm mining and don't wanna use all of my HUD, as well as the mining script would be great too. I get a bit lazy sometimes. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - darthbeck - 09-14-2009 i can see people going to connecticut, with bombers with a supernova, a code, and good armor. and killing eachother. and looting whatever they drop with the looting FLhook thing. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - Aoyagi - 09-14-2009 All of this would move Freelancer a few steps closer to regular MMO, which is good. But that "Armory" thing is a but abusable, unless it would be usable only for some special ship with no/few weapons but heavy armor. And looting from other player's ships, that would increase pvp whoring. NPC "treasure" and crafting are great idea, that would finally make killing NPCs a bit useful. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - AJBeast - 09-14-2009 The salvaging one seems interesting. Even more interesting would be to have a smelting one that turned scrap metal into alloys and other goodies. Those two in conjunction would make beeing a Junker much more interesting. Flhook goodies. /summon Cannon - casero - 09-14-2009 a simpleone that I'd like to see. /setbounty targetplayer ammount It would set a bounty on your target player, it would charge you 1 million (or so) to set it, and who ever kill the target gets the "ammount". It would be only collectable for players in the same system when the bounty is set, and a notification that the bounty has been set should display on the system chat. Server rules and ID rules applies of course. A player using an ID that doesn't allow to collect bounties shouldn't take it. EDIT: I like the idea of the sensor, if it's doable. |
