Sketch-Up and modding - CrowHunter - 04-04-2007

Now i could not see the last SU post so here is mine. I am a grade 11 gfx student that does a great deal of work on SU, it is a great program to use, easy and fast

Now all i need is some1 to tell me what extention it needs to be in for you to use it in FL.

*EDIT* Also i am going to try and model up some stuff on SU and 3dMax. Where can i find the modding guidelines?

I could be wrong but I think someone did an import/export filter for Blender, another free 3D program. Must check out SU - haven't heard of it before.

The program that I've used to import models into Freelancer was Milkshape, which has a free trail for 31 days. I would not recommend to model uv or texture because the interface and controls are not as good as 3D Studio Max or Maya. What Milkshape can do is import files from 3D Studio Max or Maya and allow you to export the needed files from creating Freelancer ship model files. Milkshape will export MAT and CMP files that the Hard CMP Freelancer program uses to view Freelancer ship models.

Well that is one area that SU has problesm with, is skins and the like, but what can Max import? cause i can do a mock up of a ship in 20 min in SU

wont look Disco worthy, but it will fly....
