Because im new to the mod, i was wondering if there was a way to unlock the map, like all planets and bases to use off-line to learn where every thing is?
p.s. i know there is a Map in the .zip folder but i cbfed looking @ that

Well I'm afraid that's your problem mate. The mod is called Discovery, therefore he idea is that you go and discover the map the old fashioned way.

There are several tools to get complete maps of FL. They're not hard to find. "FL Companion" is one. It's up to individuals if they want to spoil the discovery aspect of Discovery. We had a faction thread where I asked people if they wanted maps - as it is certainly something the Kusari military have available to them - and the result was that no-one was overly enthusiastic. Back when I started the mod in an X-Shuttle I spent ages exploring systems - great fun, probably a lot more fun than being in a faction and constantly shot at!

Yeah...I love mapping ^^
However it kinda pisses me off, when I have to map the very same house system over and over again:angry:
makinng a new char zeroes your map. You have to depend either on your memory (really, so many things, that it's very hard) or look into DS every time you jumpinto another system.
It would be very good, if maps were pleyer, not char-related. In other words, what one char finds, all others know about as well.

Yeah, me 2. windowing FL is inconvenient at least. I usually remember the absolute essentials.. JHs on the Neutron route and other... If I have doubts, I look at where some patrol route goes.
(lemme guess, FLcompanion is another "dreadfully forbidden word"?:P)

Actually, it was me who contacted FLcompanion author back when the app was unable to process mods with multiple new systems. I reported the bug, and it was fixed, cause I do realise that many people like using such tools...
...but you are right, I'm not going to encourage this.
