General Announcement Regarding Ceratin Indy Players - ophidian - 09-18-2009

Hello;

The following list of players consists of indie (or factionized if they ever make it to this list) players that we cannot prevent from doing massive OORP stuff as well as rule breaking and not listening to any commonsense as well as, when I am online, breaking the rule about "Faction Leaders have the right to oversee and take necessary actions against indy players within the RP borders bla bla".

I am DEAD TIRED of receiving PMs in my pmbox daily about these pilots. Sorry, but within the current "rights" of our faction, we tried everything we can to prevent the lolwuting. We RP'ed, failed, we killed, failed, we reported, some sanctioned but not all the time we can be around to see what he / she is doing like I just received a PM telling an Order ship is killing traders in Kyushu:(

We, in Order|, are now making lists and keeping account of strange things being done by the interesting players.

Bash, smash, curse to this topic, I don't care. But, unless you have some means to show your intelligence and come up with a solution, please take the next exit. Don't turn into another "forum" lolwut. Thank you.

PS: I will update this list. This is a final resort solution we have come up with. Next would be localized factional admining which will start more flame wars here than the big fire of London.

Conrad
RADIC
DeathBringer
Orelion
VUKAN
[ATF]Heartless
Dark'Shadow
Cripple_Master
Warath

I can second this, I dont want trial by forum.

But this is a warning to traders beware of Orelion. He engaged my trader without a word in Kusari a while back.

No screens Im afraid, but steer clear of him.

Sometimes the only answer to pvpwhores is pvp. I would sincerely suggest you have some of your own join the Hunters, whether in the faction or as independents. With the new four hour rule, their deaths put them to sleep for a while. Plus, being on both sides of a war gives you perspective and helps you treat the other side with respect.

Shameless recruitment >.>

We'll keep a lookout for Orelion in Kusari, he won't be doing that again if we see him.

No, we can't PvP them because this is what they want. They are in order for PvP everyone and pew pew all red signals in their sight. We got to sanction them to death. They understand only that. Maybe when they will have sanction in their hold, they will maybe go on Disco forums.

I talked with one lolwut in Minor about smiley in system chat, I told him to not do that, it was not allowed and he got to go here to check the rules. He said :

"I don't need to know the rules"

Excuse me, but i think there should be a rule which states that players, that show no intentions to read the rules and say such things will get banned for a certain time.

A very accurate observation. Kinda the reason I'm often reluctant to go on my Keeper when it's those kind of players are in Iota sitting and looking for a fight. Best way to deal with them is to deprive them of PvP, just do nothing about them, I turn around and go somewhere else, to Alpha, to Taus, just anywhere else. Unfortunately it's this non-RP factor that drives my characters further away from Omicrons. Sad, but true.

Despite them wanting PvP, I've learned that PvP to drive them off does indeed work. Back in 4.84 Sigma-13 was a real mess, many, many lolwuts in caps literaly chasing OORP Diamond/Niobium traders. In all that were some serious RP'ers. On a routine basis in GMG|'s early days, we routinely went out in a group and systematically brought down anything OORP that our ID's allowed us too. For 4 hours the system gets freed up with only individual trouble makers trickling in to meet a system full of veteran RP'rs. We didn't even go for known good RP'rs that are targets for our ID until we removed the lolwutter's and than began serious RP'ng with what was left, doing the cat and mouse thing but essentially stalled and let the better RPing pirates have a go or two at OORP traders before chasing him down. PvP, used judiciously, works at warding off PvP whores.

While I'm a huge fan of trials by forum, black lists and evidence in my briefcase that this person is a communist Igiss actually gathered a team of volunteers to help govern the rules of the Discovery server to whom you can refer these cases!

It's really great, all you need to do is submit a report via this portal: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showforum=50 and some moron like myself will then proceed to enact the appropriate response.

In other words: We've got a process for this, if you feel that so many people are so out of control it should be very simple for you to unload a tidlewave of sanction reports on us. I understand that it's a madhouse out there and have absolutely no problem in putting on my draconian face to help clean up shop.

Thread locked. Don't trial by forum.

Dusty...this thread...-isn't- locked...

Also: Grr, those aweful oorping blokes! its such a horrid problem.
I mean, yeah, it is. No, I can't do anything about it. Sure, I could..but who really expects a sanction for a republican flying a shire without a forum story to go through? Or a sanction for a freelancer with a 4500 cargo ship?
