What is happening to us? - Othman - 09-20-2009

Decided to spend an hour with pirating some shipments after a long time of inactivity. And what I found was rather disturbing. Had to frag 2 of 3 shipments, one of which preferred to hit F1 and another to come back with a gunboat to avenge his loss in less than 15 minutes. Seriously, what is happening to us? Is it just my bad luck or are we facing a serious decay in the portraits of the new people here?

Yeah, this is some sort of rant as you see but not that I'm angry with this, its bloody disturbing to spend almost my entire time to write down 2 violation reports in a row, instead of being able to play the game itself.

It's..just some bad luck.

I'm sorry, really sucks when it happens. But in general, as a Cargopirate, I find that most people are rather willing to play along, or, at least, put on a good face.

Sadly enough, it is this bad. We need to teach traders how to either a: RP, or b: Accept what's going to happen with them.

When I pirate on my various pirates, I don't demand money all the time. Some are insane insane and they just demands skin, hands, legs, etc. People don't realize that all they have to do is RP in order to survive. Just take a minute to type *Cuts off his hands and sends them to the pirate* and then they can go.

same here - as a gaian pirate - 9 out or 10 players play along just fine and react as expected. - very few "bad apples" around for me.

Well I think we are getting some lolwut rush... Today a trader told me that he changed his name so that I won't kill him. Well, we'll have to bear with it...

Same for me on my Buccaneer Percheron, a few epicly bad apples. For example:

Some Dromedary comes out off the trade lane in Leeds he immediately types:

"\\level 36 have a nice day"

He cruises off and I shoot a CD and try to RP with him:

"\\you just fired on a level 36 player"

"\\sanction time"

I let him go off as it's not worth the trouble, even as I'm laughing to myself for obvious reasons.

I mean really, if your gonna rule lawyer, at least use a valid rule!

True that we ran into a collection of lulwuts.
It was my first real piracy session and I admit I was quite surprised.
I mean, sometimes it's not a rule violation, but a common sense violation.

We had intercepted a guy with a worthy shipment.
We asked for one million - big deal.
And the guy decided to defy the odds and get himself blown up while running.

Sometimes, I just don't get it.
Hopefully it was only bad luck.

Some of the powertraders trying to get there Noob Boat will run and flee if you ask them for so much as a peice of lint. I've given 5 credit parking tickets to people floating around Manhat on my LPI and they run like i asked them for 5714590145781240 credits -.-

So this is not a legend...
Next time we'll ask them if we can give them money then.Way to go without F1's and "lul I killz ye".

I would have run, too; that's bullcrap. Maybe they don't want to pay so they get lost?

I'm in a Zoner Whale. I'm defenseless and fairly nommable. What do I do? I give in to avoid losing my profit. I even haggle. Most of the pirates go with it because I'm actually paying them! One said, "Y'know what, just give me 1 mil, not 2 mil. I had to kill three before you for not being so willing."
