I have a question to all your players and faction members of Gateway Interstellar and the Independent Miners Guild:

What is your attitude towards the house Bretonia? And I need as much information as possible, faction-wise and the characters standpoints.

I am asking this, because I want to develop the lore of ALG Waste Disposal a bit.

I'm not a member of any of those factions, but I think I can answer your question regarding the general diplomacy. Gateway Interstellar is a Bretonian company, so obviously in good relations with the house. The Independent Miners Guild, on the other hand, aren't. There's a pretty strong rivalry between them, and the BMM, so the Bretonian population generally frowns upon them.

Thanks, but I want comments from players, who have deeper knowledge of these factions. Look, I lead ALG and consider myself to have more and deeper knowledge of this faction then others. ALG isn't connected as hard as others to the Kanzler. We have more freedom, but we still respect his authority. That's why I asked for some opinions of members.

If I remember correctly, Alistair (Trev's CEO) was at odds with the government, and there was some sort of clampdown(?) on his party (I want to say federalist, but I'd be wrong...)

Although Alistair had a KBE, bacon's Gunther a OBE and I have a MBE. So we can't be too far from grace?

As a director of Gateway, I am disconcerted with the war. It has cut off a considerable amount of our profit. We can't supply Holman, and in turn, we can't supply Java or Falklands. In addition, we lost the auxiliary contracts to Freeport 6. We used to ship basic supplies (Construction Machinery; etc.) and we did used to ship with Kishiro (or at least I think so, given that we deal with small firms). We've had to make up for this by forcing ourselves into alternative markets, such as the Luxury Foods and Consumer Goods in Liberty and attempting to get into second-hand markets, like Optronics that are imported to Denver rather than getting them directly from Kusari.

But as a Bretonian firm, what can we really do about the war? BowEx is owned by the government. They have a much bigger say than us. All we can do is oppose the war in words and keep a noble intent. As Bretonians, it's rather our duty to do that. That and support our local populist party candidates. Much more reasonable than those damnable royalists! :rtfm:

EDIT: And it's been just over a year now with Gateway. I remember because it was the winding down days of summer when I wrote up the first trade routes. Fun times.:)

Alright, so if I get this right, Gateway is not a convinced follower of the Crown and more interested in development, profit and fame?

If this is the case, let me take a step forward: Gateway is one of the closest allies of ALG Waste Disposal. You company can ship our and the IMG's goods between Bretonia, Liberty and Rheinland. That makes you independent, and that's why we need you in our alliance of underdogs.

But what would Gateways reaction be, if ALG would openly support Kusari with all its power? I mean, look at our products:
  • Ship Hull Panels
    Main customer is Kishiro and Samura, who keep the Kusari fleet running.
  • MOX
    All exports go to Kusari and a small part to the IMG/CR, who are our allies, too.
  • Terraforming Gases
    Kishiro Technologies is our main customer.
I plan to strengthen these ties, especially with the GMG and the Kusari government, but before I do that, I want to hear your opinion about that and how Gateway would react. I cannot efford to lose a valuable ally like Gateway.
