X's Decision. - n00bl3t - 09-28-2009 http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=27209 The above hyperlinked thread is what I have been getting flak over. (A good amount of flak, so, it is time for a thread.) Waratah PM'd me about his sanction. Showed me some screen-shots and told me he did nothing wrong. I am not one to get one half of the story and lead a charge, so, I asked Tenacity what happened. (On Skype.) Tenacity also sent me all his relevant screen-shots of the incident. I slowly pieced together all the evidence and established a timeline. (Since everyone is too lazy to type /set chattime on.) I also contacted Waratah to get his explanation. He told me he was there with his friend, shooting nomad NPC's. Then, the navy came and goaded him into fighting. He fled back to the Atum. The navy followed him. Then, the Bastet turned up. He said the Bastet gave the order to kill him but he never fired on the Bastet. Then, after a while, the Bastet started firing on him using the reason that the Waratah had fired on the Bastet. Looking through the screen-shots I came to the conclusion that the Waratah did not open fire on the Bastet and that the Bastet told the navy to open fire on the Waratah. I, previously, had given the Waratah permission to operate from the Atum, in Alaska, to shoot nomad NPC's and generally do their RP in the area. People have now asked why I did not consult with the rest of the Order High Command on the issue. I, in the Skype chat for us, told Ophidian Waratah was improving and that he should be allowed to RP. Ophidian, from what I gathered agreed. So, I sent Waratah to RP in Alaska, where I figured those in Omicron Minor would also be glad not to see him (I have not seen Eternal in a while, so I went ahead.) After coming to a conclusion about the incident, I sent Tenacity a PM, telling him I was going to make a thread regarding the incident and asking for an explanation from Kaylee Staite about her actions. I then made the thread. The thread was not a court martial. The thread was not a demotion request. It was a clarification request. That is all. At the time I was not logged in on Skype. During which time, Tenacity took the opportunity be quite liberal with his language and his opinion of me. Tenacity then left the chat. Due to ANZLAG, I found out six hours later what had happened in the chat. I then explained my actions to him in a personal Skype message. He, to the best of my knowledge, has not responded yet. I hopped in-game today and found myself questioned via PM and group chat regarding my actions. (Questioned is probably too light of a word, but eh.) Combine this with the knowledge that another sanction regarding Waratah was overturned on the grounds of staged screen-shots and I was a bit doubtful that he deserved his current sanction. I have all the screen-shots Tenacity sent me, as well as other evidence, evidence of PM's and content, and I am willing to show it all. If you think I should have acted differently, or my actions were unjustified, now is your chance to speak. Based on everything so far, I should be expecting responses from: * Ophidian. * Kelt. * Lancer-X. * Rouge. * Ayem. * Gene Reynolds. * Red_Bull. X's Decision. - Tovig - 09-28-2009 Hello. I look after all the evidences too and for me, Tenacity did it right. He is in the Order since over 9000 times more than Warath, ex Kray. The thing about "because Warath fly an Osiris, he have the command under Tenacity, which is only flying a Carrier" really angered and surprized me. If Tenacity need a special rank in Order space, I engage personally my decision to give him a special tag or something. He is an indie, yes, but he should be respected and have authoritie with newest players. Tenacity, except is behavior with the Corsairs incident few month ago, did a lot for the Order RP and overall. He brought ships idea, events ideas etc. He is a valuable member of the Order. Warath is an ex Kray, was leading an ex-OORP rebellion with the Apocalypses, was not really famous for his good RP and get sanctionned -twice- by the admins. Sorry dude, I know you try to improve yourself but you have an heavy past and you have to deal with it. Then, who should have more authority, really ? For me, it's explicit. So, I still respect and like you Nooblet, but this time : ![]() I hope this drama will be solved soon. But if you ask me, I am in Tena side, no doubt. In essence, because of the fact that Waratah led a rebellion against you and you have had bad experiences with him in the past, you are choosing to believe Tenacity. Also, you were speaking of evidence. I can only presume it is specifically related to this incident and you will be as willing to share as I am. Please do so. Then, after a while, the Bastet started firing on him using the reason that the Waratah had fired on the Bastet. What had appeared was that the Waratah fired on the Bastet, it was hard to see where he was actually aiming due to poor visibility in the Alaska system. Now this could've been a few things either the Waratah or the Atum since an Osiris' shots are quite easy to identify from the Navy's. I do wonder if this was an accident and would be half and half on this, since this thing has happened before with the Bastet and him. I did see Bastets shields drop around a quarter which does seem strange (Takes more then one salvo to do that). But then again Waratah was being bomber swarmed, and in the same situation I tend to blind fire all around me so they will stay away. This could've been one of these incidents or couldn't have. Bastet did however give the order for the destruction of the Waratah since he wouldn't comply with the orders givin. Now before the Bastet showed up I was in Alaska trying to defuse this situation as fast as I could (RP wise we wouldn't stand a chance if the LN full fledged waged war on us). Time passed by with the same thing being said by both sides so we weren't getting anywhere. I figured I would let them duke it out and just give up since I have no jurisdiction over the Waratah and said group. I believe I handled the situation well but there was really nothing I could do to stop this major battle about to break out. The Bastet then showed up and continued diplomatic talks further so I went to the Atum to guard the Bastet. So Waratah refused the Bastets orders and it went downhill from there. Since this thing happened before where the Waratah said it was a "misfire" or something I'm just kind of skeptical to believe him. I do however believe he has shown tremendous improvement since he was a Kray. So kudos to him for at least trying. Hopefully this clears some things up. What is bad with that ? It's natural to believe fair and trustfull people than (ex) lolwut and lying ones. I don't have personally the SS but Tena showed then in Skype or in the sanction thread. Look there. For my, I had enough experience with Warath to not believe him at first. I just found your attitude with Tena not fair and justified. It's my opinion. I went on the evidence before me, apologies. I explained all my actions and I even calmly explained my actions to him after he solidly ripped into me on Skype. If that is not the right attitude, please explain what is. X's Decision. - Tovig - 09-28-2009 ' Wrote:I went on the evidence before me, apologies. X's Decision. - Tenacity - 09-28-2009 You PM'd me -telling- me you were going to create a thread on it, not like I had much choice. My response was along the lines of "Whatever, I already explained myself and I've done nothing wrong", yet apparently you saw fit to ignore testimonials from everyone who was present, use skewed evidence, and lead me down a trial by forum. But, as I have told everyone else who's asked, thanks to your decisions I am shutting my order character down until the political bullcrap within the order is resolved. I'm tired of it. |
