Account help - Lord Crimson - 10-06-2009 I had an urge to play freelancer once more and was wondering if it would be possible for my account to get unbanned from the main server. The whole reason it got banned in the first place was when I tried freelancer online for the first time. I used the speed mod for a minute or 2 and then got auto banned. After playing on one of the less populated (read DESERTED) servers for a while , I got bored with freelancer and left it for good. P.S All of this happened months ago , before summer. Account help - Kazinsal - 10-07-2009 Well, unless you got banned from the Discovery mod (and the old server) you should be able to install the mod and play here. Account help - MarvinCZ - 10-07-2009 I think he meant that he got banned here. Anyway, the usual ban period for speed modding is 60 days, so I think if you contact the admins, you could get your account unbanned. Of course I can't promise anything. It all depends on the severity of your actions at the time of your banning. Maybe try it here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10755 Account help - Lord Crimson - 10-07-2009 It's as Marvin said , I wasn't banned from the mod. I can use it just fine (on all servers except here) , in fact I just updated to the most recent version. As for the ban period I'm fairly certain it has been more than 2 months since the ban. I don't think that my actions were severe enough for a ban that long. At the time if memory serves me right , I had just made a new character flew him at 1.2k or 3k speed for a few seconds then crashed into something and got auto banned. Account help - Canadianguy - 10-07-2009 You say its not too bad. Still, its counted as cheating, and usually, no matter how much you cheat, whatever in what you cheated, either its a sport or videogame, will result in a sanction, even if it didnt helped you do bad things that break gameplay. Still, its an admin decision, yes, its been about two months, I think you understand its actually bad. And remember, if they decide they are going to unban you, if you try again, you will probably get permanently banned. Account help - reavengitair - 10-07-2009 in fact, I believe admins give you a warning first time for a first time offence, so if this is your first time, you should be unbanned. Account help - Bear - 10-07-2009 Send a PM to one of the admins and see if can get unbanned. Edit: 400 posts! Account help - Lord Crimson - 10-07-2009 ' Wrote:You say its not too bad. As I previously mentioned , at the time I had just started playing online. Technically I spent more time creating the character than playing it. So how does that count as cheating exactly? I think my problem is pretty straight forward and doesn't need any further posting , I just felt a bit offended by this particular post that's all. Thanks for the guidance to those who offered it. Account help - Birdtalon - 10-07-2009 Heh, you should be unbanned. Just don't do it again:) Account help - Virus - 10-08-2009 We'll look into it. If it is as you say, then likely you will be unbanned. We will PM you with a decision. For future reference, it is better to PM an admin other than Igiss. He isn't involved with much more than mod development. The list of active admins can be found in the Server Rules. -Virus Admin |
