For those of you who haven't been here long enough to realise. Planetform is a fail of a faction in terms of activity at the moment. And to get straight to the point, I aim to change that. At first I thought let's get an unnofficial faction up and running, but then I thought woah now Ashie boy. Let's not go all guns here, there's probably and alternative.
After sifting through some of the dead threads i've noticed there's been a few attempts to start a Planetform faction, and too rightly. After giving this some thought, the Planetform RP and gameplay is questionably one of the best of the corporate factions. Think about it.
Trade routes take Planetform from Edinburgh; that's swarming with Gaians; all the way through Magellan; that's swarming with Hackers; and onto Hudson which is effectivley a warzone. After looking into some trade routes, Planetform probably have the best intra-house trading potential in Discovery.
Possibilites such as:
War Diplomacy (Hudson, Leeds/T31)
Mining (Edinburgh)
Trading
Refugee Evacuation (Leeds)
A Massive Oppertunity for Constant Escorting RP
Bretonian Trading Contracts
Sirius-Wide Terraforming Contracts
Organism Mining
Specialised Hunter Wings (Edinburgh)
..are easily achievable.
Yet there's still no activity. The problem of course is that Planetform is highly mistaken for a Trading faction. Which is most certainly not the case. A certain down side may be that they lack in stations and bases. But all it takes is a little organisation and effort and we can get this thing off the ground.
I've done alot of research into trade routes, vessels, loadouts and more so planetform can get the best chance of attracting players.
So this is effectivley a shout-out to all people interested in flying with Planetform including Gloucester, The Outlaw Star and all pilots that flew under their faction tags. Post here if your interested in bulking together and getting Planetform finally noticed as a Sirius faction.

I urge you to start this corporation and start taking what's yours sir.
Most corporations count less members than pirate factions that should be skirmishing around because people think of trading as something they "have to do"
If you take away their ability to do it easily (many pirates, many obstacles) you come to the current situation. What is needed here is extra bit pressure and everyone is in the corporation trading.
Find your base, find your products, enforce protection on them and make sure you recruit people that trade there. Offer them protection, offer "faliure" to those that don't. Invest money and find people that think alike you.
I spent a billion approximately. I'll tell you in a week was it worth it. I really hope it is because no matter how many people like to yell "unity unity" alot of them just want to trade solo and earn those bucks easily.
well there are benefits to corporate trading, i'll tell you that, and benefits are usually in bonding and friendships. Those 4 shires are hard to pirate for a gaian bomber when they're together. But when they're alone, they're easy pickings.
Routes discussions. Alot of routes got revamped now, some are worth tons to trade in but aren't so safe. It is the era of corporations and its is the end of the "solo" pirates in bombers that are terrorizing your space.
Corporations need to unite first, when they do, so will the pirates and then we can roll back to Navy and police uniting to crush them down. U
Corporations promote alot of things, hire mercenarys, bounty hunters and personal guards.
is your system being mined our by bunch of indies? why don't you make it dangerous to them? Why don't you offer them a solution after they get blown up? It's what corporations do.
people every country in the world thats better than average at the moment actually rose up on plunders and pillaging. Take your history book and take atlas and see it for yourself. There's no reason Corporation shouldn't be like this.
You sir are trying to resurect that frikiin Planetform for few months now and noone is budging. It is time to take a more direct action. I hope you do it and I wish you a great success.

Enko still technically runs the PFI unofficial faction I think.
Biggest problem that he's mentioned is the routes being bad. However Xoria has that thread open asking for routes, so if you want to get planetform going, first thing you should do is go to that thread

A while ago, they had good activity, and good stuff going on besides trading. However, the trading was so bad it left the group without a backbone and it collapsed a bit. I think if the routes are back up to scratch then the rest will follow.
So get to that thread and make posts.

And I recently been trading, Ogris (Northamptonshire) didnt play Freelancer for ages now. He's probably been wiped.

Ivan has a point with it being the time for corporate teamwork. It's very hard to trade solo these days as pirates are pretty much raping sirius of billions of credits each day.
Plus thanks to Benji for the link, it'l prove useful in getting planetform up to scratch in the market.
I also hope Enko can post in this thread in the near future. I can't say i know him or have seen any of his threads recently.
EDIT: Gloucester, if you can get the gang back together I'd be happy to get in on the group you have there and make it that one player bigger. Percherons are ftw, regaurdless that my Planetformer flies a large train. Fail. I'l be making a Perchie I think, they pretty much rock to the teeth, hacker's worst nightmare.
