Rheinland and the Planetformers - Ash - 10-09-2009 I took another look at how the new trade routes for planetform were getting on and I began to wonder about something when I saw this post. Now Planetform have been employed by the Libertonian Government to terraform Atka as a Liberty Industrial planet. This would be quite disadvantagous to the Rheinlanders as the Libertonians are that one step closer to Hamburg. And if that doesn't quite do it, their getting their terraforming supplies from Dortmund? Hmm.. Now one way to look at it would be that Rheinland treat Planetform as unfreindly/Neutral due to their involvement with the Liberty forces in the warzone. Atka would provide a very tough outpost to capture once setllements have been made. It's not just a matter of spaceships, it's a matter of terrestrial warfare. Which as I can imagine make the war alot more complicated and harder to win. Another way to look at it is that Atka is being terraformed to be an Industrial Planet; holding big factories and districts that would be frowned upon within the Liberty border on Housten or otherwise. This way it can't be seen as a Liberty base of operations in order to gain the upper hand in the war. The status quo is good enough, and life goes on. But which version is it? If I end up taking gases from Dortmund to Atka will the Rehinlanders get pissy? |
