Hi guys in case you were curious about where I've been for the last month.
The pet site that I was using for a while is under attack by anonymous...
Subeta.org started using a 4chan meme as a wearable item for the avatars. The owner of the site might have attacked them first, or not since there is only one file that could have been faked...
either way /i/ has been hacking and posting foul images in the forums to be seen by the many children on the site. They have posted credit card information and destroyed every fan site they could find. They posted keiths SSN and other info to aid in ID theft.
Lies and disinformation are flowing freely from both sides...
The war is getting ugly, and I was wondering if anyone around here knew a way to help stop it?

Here are the links to the two major centers of activity:
The subeta longcat debate: here
The 420chan /i/nvasion subeta thread Not work safe! NOT CHILD SAFE EITHER

....sigh...

Ugly. Just one suggestion - hacking is illegal in most countries so server admin staff may like to contact their local law enforcement organisation.

Yeah, they've been trying, but most of the anonymous are called that for a reason...
They go to great measures to hide their identity...
Unfortunately the owner of 420 is supporting them by "losing" IP information...
Also, he apparently changes hosts every few days by choice or force...

I just don't know what to do about this....
Hey Igiss, any input?

Interesting, there are 14 guests reading this at the moment ^.^
You stalking me anon?
Hah! up to 16, :-P 18

21 now, i'm popular eh? Awwe, the numbers going down now. Back up to 23.

There are ways to protect web servers from attacks such as DDoS attacks, etc. As for using the law, I doubt there's many agencies that would take the time for such a small case. If it were a banking website, or something to that effect, then it would garter more attention. But a game website, don't expect much lawful help. And again, Keith did kinda pull some intellectual property theft. Just my opinion.

a verry affective way :
if you find out who they are, use a program which i wont name to trace them down, and whoop their ass:laugh:

Or do something evil that might stop them, this is just an idea but find a way to put your site on a rotating IP adress so that they have to change their program every time and use about ten different firewall programs. ie my friend uses four different virus scan programs that all have firewalls that use different protocals I think it was. But at any rate make it a pain in the arse for them to find your site and make them move on. Or follow Exile's idea I sorta like his... I know someone who owns a tazer;)

There should be some way that you can grab their IP, like what happens on www.checkmyip.com I dont know how it works, but if you could grab their IP, and then use PhP or Perl, etc. to send the IP to you, that could potentially catch them. Mind you, that would be ALOT of emails. Maybe have it written to a file in the server aswell, so that way it only sends you new IP's.
