Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - Angelfire - 10-12-2009 This is my 999th post since I joined last year (2008) sometime. I was a total newbie to any kind of forum activity and had only tasted slices of RP in other games I had played online. Disco was my first 'RP' only experience and I locked on like a Jack Russel to a beef scented Bus. Here's what I hath learned about Disco. Not everyone who rants is angry. Not everyone who flames is evil. Not everyone who leaves is leaving. Everyone starts out as a lolwut. The /rant. Tis usually a spur of the moment expulsion of frustration with the intent of gathering emotional allies to soothe an injusticed soul. The /flame. Tis usually an insecure entity posing as an insensitive Bull with the intent of establishing overbearing authority which backfires dramatically and exposes social ineptitude. The /I'm leaving thread. Tis usually an expression of frustration or boredom but expressed with the intent of the /rant with more clout. Tis usually also an aknowledgement of love or appreciation for a greater community with the motive of bringing to light the thoughts of good friends publicly. The resulting revelation usually inspires a speedy return. Tis usually also an expression of petulance in the light of failure to achieve selfish objectives. This rarely. The /lolwut Tis all before enlightenment. The /lolwut namecaller Tis an entity with a bad memory and a short patience allocation protocol. Tis also us all. Rp and PvP Tis having the Cake... and eating it! Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - AJBeast - 10-12-2009 You forgot the /pvpwhore and the /nerfspree . Oh , and congrats on the big 1000. Not that that matters much... EDIT: Oh , and the /capwhore too. And the /powertrader Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - teschy - 10-12-2009 I can't deny, I hate losing and I hate being wrong even more, it's just how I am. Doesn't matter if it's a computer game, a soccer game, a political debate or a school assignment. Let's face it, nobody likes losing. Sure, that doesn't mean you have to go oblivious to the world because of that, at least not for more than a day:P Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - Angelfire - 10-12-2009 ' Wrote:You forgot the . And My 1000th post goes to... /pvpwhore /nerfspree /capwhore See /lolwut namecaller. Not nice losing, but I'll survive:) don't forget /oneliners and /nospeakenglish Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - chovynz - 10-12-2009 Now can you maintain that 1000th post count? I try not to care, but ultimately, my frail self-esteem is directly tied to other's opinions of me. I hate myself, I don't want others to as well. 2. Closest I could come up with. Related directly to the first question... I want people to tell me my work is great, but I want it to be honest. Unfortunately, I see all negative comments as completely true, and all positive ones to be idle flattery... >.> 3. I'm a perfectionist. When I do something, I go all in. I hate losing. I hate exploding. I hate how much I completely suck at PvP. Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - Aoyagi - 10-12-2009 Ok, I got all Cs on the pool... Something is wrong. And yes, I have a short patience... for example with this ![]() But meh. And Disco is my second RP experience. First was Neverwinter Nights. And there was -no- such thing as /lolwutery . I guess I'm just used to it:) Angelfire's guide to understanding Disco. - DarthCloakedGuy - 10-12-2009 "Noob no life RPers" ...I honestly can't come up with a proper put-down that puts him down more than him saying those moronic words... |
