My apologies if this was brought up anywhere before, but I haven't checked the forums in a while.
I got to thinking about how FL2 was supposed to be on XBox and have recreated ship lines. I was wondering what the Disco community thinks of changing the current ship lines completely (new models/names/etc.). I understand this would take a lot of work on the developers' parts, but I was wondering what people thought of the idea.

That would mean making another mod - total conversion.No need nor time for this in my opinion.

The point is not that I'm not satisfied with the unique ships we have now. I was referring to how things like the wraith, tempest, defender, executioner, etc have been around since vanilla, and what people would think if we changed the models for them and left them alone for another 9000 versions of the game. Although, you are probably right about the time thing.

There's a certain charm to the old vanilla ships. I say no.
Plus, Vanilla ships can do cool things like retractable cargo bays and get their wings shot off.

How about upgrading vanilla textures then? That wouldn't hurt the tradition would it? Disco needs graphics upgrade.

I think alot of the vanilla textures are better than the new ones.
