So I am Trying to Build a Griffin - dudeicoft - 10-25-2009
Alright, title is quite self explanatory. For those who do not know, the Griffin is the younger brother of the Eagle. It turns faster, yet has only 2 Level 9 guns and 2 Level 8 guns. My dilemma is what to put in these slots.
Some background information:
1. This will be a corporate ship, so no unlawful weaponry
2. This will be a short range fighter, so missile costs and long battles need not be considered
3. I would like to try to keep the weapons to civilian and Liberty weapons only
What I have so far:
One idea that I had was 1 Cannon Ball missile, 1 Firestalker and 2 ADV debs
Another was going to simply be 2 Magma V's and 2 Magma IV's, thought that isn't a lot of damage output
Right now what it has is 2 Vengeance V's and 2 Vengeance IV's
I have never really played around with LF's since .84 and input from anyone who has since the update would be great. Thanks.

Umm.......Griffin is actually rather huge for a LF.
If its a group fight, 2 debs 2 lasers, but, best performance is one deb, 3 lasers.
to utterly screw a bomber, use 4 debs, It can never shoot a SNAC

But would the 2-3 lasers be enough to deal enough damage by themselves?
I have heard that it is necessary to have at least 1 missile on a LF.

Debs are for noobs, use a lancer or any high level shield busting missles and the rest 5.88s or 4.00s.

THere are none.
3 lasers one deb, is the ebst you can do, cuz you will run out of missles too fast.

Hmmm.. I'm a bit stuck on this one, Liberty doesn't seem to make 5.88s and 4.00s. The only ones I know of are Zoners. I suppose you'd need to stick with your Magmas if you want high damage.
