About Us:

Since the time of colonization in the Sirius sector, there has always been an excessive need for water. It , along with Carbon, are the most abundant in the human body. Yet, we take it for granted just how special it really is. Aquarius Water Works has been the main refiner and distributor of water for almost two-hundred years, a proud legacy we plan to uphold. It's said that the name originated from the constellation Aquarius, who is often referred to as the Goddess of Water.

Aquarius was founded during the golden era of Bretonian business in the colonies. Sir Howard Davis was given a grant by the Kingdom of Bretonia to develop a business that could suitably deliver water to businesses in the house at a cheap price. With this, the government of Bretonia would save money by avoiding the costly infrastructure required to massively export this product.

After the costly build-up, Aquarius found itself one of Bretonia's most profitable companies whose stock was valued at 2'130'000'000 Credits. Eventually the Bretonian government made the effort to reduce prices, Aquarius accepted but spread its enterprise throughout the other houses. Rhineland, Liberty and eventually Kusari joined because of the simplicity Aquarius guaranteed to it's customers. By the turn of the century, CEO Geoff Daniels lead the company through a reform based on customer satisfaction. Generally, Aquarius had gone from the “you have to hire,” to the “the people you want to hire.” Also Daniels is credited on his emphasis on purified water, and is primarily the man who is responsible for Aquarius that we know today.

During the seven-hundreds we made significant advances in the transportation of water, and the quality of water. Unfortunately, transportation of water has always lead to ionization and some microscopic radiation damage. In 748A.S., a scientist for Aquarius (Zachary Donnels) made an important filter that was able to get rid of the radiation in the water by process of molecular filtration. Units were installed in all the stations owned by Aquarius and the affiliated transports. Donnels Station in Delta Aquari (Discovered in 731A.S. - Ursa Major Supercluster) was named after him and provided clean water reserves from the galactic ice fields, far from the greatly contaminated sources in Sirius.

In 801A.S., a scientist and an engineer named Edsel Hansler made important advancements in deionizing the water needed for laboratory research. Originally it took a great deal of work to have labs deionize their water, and now Aquarius was able to export this important substance that would greatly influence the scientific potential of the upcoming century. Edsel was eventually elected to be the CEO of Aquarius, originally from Rheinland, he is the first CEO not of Bretonian origin.

Today we mainly focus on the constant supply of water to bases within the Sirius galaxy. We provide water to distant bases like Java and Falkland along with several distant Freeports. We are the leader in contract water delivery and only supplier of water in Sirius.

Engineer: Responsible for coming up with new ways to process, purify and ship water across the Galaxy using machinery.

Engineer's Assistant: An intern who is planning on becoming an engineer.

Made of three to four members from each of the departments (two delegates if their is an excess in one department). These people are responsible for the well being of the company. When the CEO resigns, they are responsible for selecting a new CEO from the current Council members.

Sounds good for a RP coorp; shipping water is not really profitable but from a RP side it looks pretty good.

Also you got some good RP positions, rather than just havin g the CEO, captain and escort positions. I wonder what their actual RP in forums and/or ingame will be.
Hopefully this will be the beginning of new shipping companies more bound to RP rather than profit, there could be shipping companies specialized on specific materials; also could be the beginning of a boost on certain commodities prices; commodities that actaully mean something, in outer space oxygen or water should be as important as a bunch of pilots or light arms

I think this is a great idea since most other pilots don't trade in water. And Sirius has to get the water from somewhere! Anyways, I'd be all for something making properly rep'd and id'd AWW ships have better profit for water.

Well we're not supposed to be biased by wars. Synth Foods, ALG Waste Removal etc.

And in a message to the GMG, I explained it was because the relative ease of converting one of the ships into one that could carry water, since in the Kamome infocard it says that it has cargo systems or something that can be replaced with our filtration systems.

Edit: I'm trying to get the GMG to agree to the terms right now. So in theory we don't ^^

1) How do you plan on an alliance with Gateway and Bowex working?
2) How do you explain Aquarius being more profitable as a Bretonian corporation 200 years ago than, say, Bowex or BMM?
3) Normal transports are good for transporting water. Use the gasquid cargo pod for it.

I was under the impression that it was mostly undertaken by Samura and Synth, given as they both are either food (and thus sepratly , Drink) Corperation, or have a division that speciallizes in such. While I understand Bretonia, Isnt it powergaming to suddenly declare yourself the only supplier In Sirius?

A thought...

The two most watery planets in Sirius are, to the best of my knowledge, Curacao and Baden Baden. Spa and Cruise, which operates large resorts on these planets - and effectively owns Curacao - is largely neutral, even to some pirates. Now, while it would be plain bizarre to see Spa and Cruise ID'd water-haulers, might you perhaps consider running with independent trader IDs, and civilian transports/border world transports/transports obtained by forum RP, with those two planets as your bases? I think you might find it easier in the long-run than associating yourself with a house. There might be a bit of an issue where the cargo restrictions come into play, though.

ETA: no need to worry about destroying the natural environment. -Most- planets are self-sufficient when it comes to water supplies. It'd take thousands of years of hauling the amounts that places actually import to drop the sea levels by even a small amount, methinks.

Planet Junyo and Kurile are - they are both just about completely water. I do think Honshu is too, apart from those too.

The faction writeup is great, from an RP point of view, this is heavily needed. Unfortunately, you will need to be harvesting some other kind of mineral if you want people to join...
