Sorry, I have been gone for a while, and I have forgotten a couple of things!
How do you bind the SNAC to a key? Because when I choose E as launch torpedos [snac is kind of a torpedo right?] nothing happens!
Please help!

The SNAC isn't a torpedo, it's a gun.

You have to assign it it's own weapon group.

SNACs count as guns. Use weapon-grouping, and then bind that group to a specific key.

There's two ways, weapons grouping or pressing the corresponding number (0-9) provided you still have your number keys set to fire your weapons.

Weapon groups are the more effective way of doing things since the SNAC is usually located on 7 or 8.

I used a game profile editor for my gaming mouse and I use the wheel button as my SNAC trigger. Works magnificiantly.

Oooh. DO WANT.

Which line should I be adding to which file, if you know?

Well basicly I tied the number pad 3 to my mouse wheel for FL game profile (my mouse software can hold many pre-made profiles).
I actually have 8 buttons on my mouse but for the sake of bombers I also attach the numberpad 2 to a thumbutton.
Then with the in-game options I use numberpad Ctrl+3 as an assign weapon group for numberpad 3 and I have numberpad Ctrl+2 to assign a weapon group to numberpad 2.
I then set fire weapon group numberpad 3 and numberpad 2. Now this makes it so that I can use Ctrl+Num3 to set a weapon group to my wheelbutton(Num3) and my thumbutton(Num2).
When I go in-game I then assign the SNAC with Ctrl+3 and my CDs with Ctrl+2.
Now from that point one I only keep my standard guns active and the rest "off".
My standard guns will pound away while holdinh right-click, each tim I click whell it fires SNAC and each time I click my thumb I fire a CD all without changing any weapon groups in the middle of the fight or having to press anything but mouse buttons.

It's a Logitech gaming mouse I bought sometime back before I even began with others in creating GMG|. It's been the key to my ability to manage weapon groups and apply them with minimal effort.

edit add: edited the buttons used, as you can imagine I have series of setups depending on ship

I've recently bought a Sidewinder X3. Beautiful mouse, two side buttons and DPI toggles. I can go from being the dodgy liberator-of-doom to SNAC-sniper of the year at one click.

I normally assign mousewheel click to SNAC also, side buttons get CD/Nova.

Nooooooo.

Razer Mamba. I have one, and it kicks Micro$haft Sidewinder ass.

It gets real interesting with the Rh BS I use and the necessity of chain firing mixed with weapon groups. I've actually got all mouse buttons used up and had to include the ~/` key at the top left corner of keyboard just above the thrustering Tab key.
