Right now it is really awkward. Unless they are on my known pirate list, I just pretend not to see them, because they don't stand a chance against my capship. That I believe is the right thing to do because I won't ruin someone's day no matter what my RP.
However, just sitting there and PMing him with //get out quick is really not a good option. But neither is pretending to be AFK and just saying comms failure.
I tried the usual 'halt' but then I don't have the slightest idea what to do next. I don't want to blow up his cargo, neither do I want him to lose credits, and as I'm not a pirate I'm not authorised to take bribes either.
So, I'm looking for an IN RP way to say 'get out, continue what you're doing, I'm not here for you, if possible don't mess with me again and take another route, if not, carry on.'

Won't be in game till the server is on my list though, and I have been away for some time, how long before my LAC is gone? Like how many months is the wait before character delete? Because BEFORE this happened, I haven't been on for some time too. (Even though it probably won't suceed) is there a way to appeal for it back or is it DELETED deleted and not just deactivated?

Get a bomber/fighter/gb/transport/anything but a cap.
And kill that guy.
You could just say: HALT!!!
To all lawfuls, arrest #t, he is smuggling whatever he is smuggling.
He is heading to that place where he is heading.
If he stops, just ask an other lawful to come and do the thing.
And also, instead of always asking, why dont you use your imagination like everyone. These things took me a minute to find out. And I am just an average in-game rper and I rarely forum RP.

Get a VHF. Means you can kill pretty much anyone in RP. No fancy 'capital ships, (gunboats and above) may not attack transports..' and stuff like that which is annoying.

1) Move your head next to the monitor, so that the direction you are facing is perpendicular to the screen.
2) Call someone whose time you want to waste into the room.
3) Pretend to eat smuggler with mouth.
4) ?!?!?!!?
5) Profit.
Seriously though, there is not much you can do in your current ship.
Having an alternate fighter or bomber character may be best.

Why don't you tie up with the rest of military/police units in your house and try to start a thread where screens can be placed of the infraction and then maybe a one off bounty or just everytime they're seen, they get investigated.
Other than that, get a different ship.

End your capwhoring and get a bomber, then you can do whatever you like. Go ahead, blow up those nasty pirates. Blow up those smugglers. Get a rally of friends so you can destroy those dumb unlawfuls and bring gweat justice to the traders!!

Call in the bombers and CD the guy until they arrive or you run out.

Cruisers and above shouldn't have to worry about smugglers. They don't need to even acknowledge their existence. So, yeah, just ignore them.
If you want to deal with smugglers, get a bomber, as suggested by almost everyone else in the thread.
