Character resurrection? - Omi - 12-13-2009
Yeah, well, I'd be very surprised if any of you know me. All the characters in my sig have died of inactivity, but I've been looking around and seen that the Harvesters appear to have died out, which is a great pity, as I really enjoyed playing mine :/
So I was wondering, as they appear to require an admin-given AI ID, would it be okay if I remade my harvester, complete with original number? Would I need to make a special-RP request, or are they still "in existence", albeit very much depleted/inactive?
Very sorry if this is in the wrong place...and I may as well take the opportunity to say hello to everyone who I may or may not have interacted with in the past.

The Havesters are still around, albeit in much lower numbers than before. Geisha_Mako I believe is the faction leader now. Just look her up and see what she tells you. I'm sure she'll appriciate the assistance in getting the Harvesters back out there in force.

This is a case of yes and no.
There recently was another disagreement about the Harvester command structure and most of the active membership (most, being defined as one more than half, which brought the Harvesters down below minimum membership for being an active faction) have splintered off and are now the Sentient Machine Alliance.
In spite of what is currently written at the link in my signature - or perhaps because of it - we are re-writing our backstory to disassociate ourselves as much as possible with the Harvesters, other than having some of the same ships. While we're not official yet, we have the funds gathered and are preparing to do so in the near future.
The AI ID is now required if you want to be either a Harvester or member of the SMA - and at this time, that is the only way to actually get that ID, as the admins are not processing any special RP requests for AI ID's.

Actually, they are doing so once again. I just got my AI ID SRP the other day.

Calm down, It's not considered a gravedig until it's at least a month old.
