For Those Among Us of the Corsair Inclinations - Eppy - 06-19-2007
I got locked in my room by annoying middle-schoolers the other day, and, while planning my imminent revenge (airsoft siege; automatic M-14, M-16, and G36; they couldn't sit down for several hours) I got very bored and started sketching a new battleship that came out looking like something for the Corsairs. I'm supposed to hate them, but oh well. Creativity over Faction Alignment (Wait. What am I saying?).

What say the Corsairs? It probably won't get worked on for quite some time, since I still don't have my machine back yet and the Outcast Dreddy comes first, but if I ever have spare time...Suggestions, comments, design thoughts? all is welcome.

I said 'Too Outcast' at first, too, but I decided the Corsairs would have tried more of a meld of their own tech, with Bretonian, and, being the thieving saboteurs they are, Outcast warships, most namely the Dreddy (Frame completed; will texture as soon as machine is back), so I took the hull positioning from the Bretonians, applied the Saber's Wing-Arch concept to the Titan, and gave it a Corsair texture and cockpit-hull. I might make the base wing more curvy, like the normal Corsair wings.

Looks very Red Hessien to me. But scale it down and make it a GB, as RH does NOT need a battleship..

His description of it makes it seem more Corsair than Hessian, Dab. Besides, Hessians don't need a gunboat, period. Its not a very effective gunboat design, anyway. This gives the Corsairs an option other than the Osiris.

You're right, Dab, I need to stop pilfering Night's Uber-Oh CRAP (runs to Canada).
What WAS I thinking? I LIKE the Hessians (they were my Pre-Outcast obsession, but the latter have more territory to shoot things over, so...). They get a new Gunboat; god knows, that Cruiser is useless in Omega-5.

A Very interesting design, but I would go with either outcast or Hessian. I really like how the main weapon ring goes around the entire thing. It could provide weapon coverage for the entire ship.

Then again, maybe not... Verginex's weapon-ring comment pointed out the failure of a Gunboat function and its suitability as a large ship...Heck, maybe I'll just go back and design an Outcast Gunboat and call it a Hessian ship! And now I'm confusing myself. I'll have to see if I can dregde up a hitbox that works.
