So I've got a merc... - Marcus Lindberg - 12-16-2009 Its basically about the rep sheet. I don't care about whether the bounty is lucrative or not, Its about which sides I wanna take, because is disco, diplomacy is very...messed up to say the least. Chosing one side can put you on the side of their allies, but increase the number of your enemies... Basically, I'm not sure who's side to join. Should I go for outcast? or Corsair? Should I go for Bretonia, or Kusari? (and because my merc is former navy, Rheinland is out of the question) Basically, if I go for the OC, I realise I may be good with Kusari unlawfuls and Bretonia. Problem is, that puts me at odds with Liberty lawfuls, something I can't really allow. Now if I start working for the Carsairs, then Kusari and the Colonian Republic love me, but ]bd[ (who are more active then kusari lawfuls in my time zone) and GC are against me, as is the consortium. Bretonia will also be against me, as will the Molly republic, although Gaians will love me. Should I just ditch Liberty and start working for the OC? or should I go for the corsairs? I really can't decide. going up against the OC gives me a lot more targets (as their more OC then there are corsairs), but their a very powerful organization. But if I work for them, well, they already got a ton of others working for them. I know this is really confusing, but I just want someone to tell me the prospect of what I can achieve or lose if I join either side. thanks -Lindburger So I've got a merc... - Exsiled_one - 12-16-2009 Well... I know kusari dislikes mercs in general. You could focus on hunting people in liberty, that would give you tons to do. But in general... It's about what side is more active when you're on. Find out about that, and then chose the opposite side to belong to. You do need targets, remember? So I've got a merc... - Tomtomrawr - 12-16-2009 Although I voted Outcasts, I really wanted an "Other" option. You don't have to work for either of them. You could work for ]bd[, or the Colonials. How many Mercs do you see working for the Colonials? Not many. You have a whole variety of factions to choose from, not just Outcasts or Corsairs. That's actually a pretty good idea, can one of the admins put in the 'Other' option if possible? thanks. Problem is, when I'm on, most of the corsairs and OC aren't on either, and if they are, there not hanging out in Eta. Even worse, all the bounties offered by both of the factions do not include their capital systems (meaning I can't collect the bounties on Alpha or Gamma, which is where, almost all, of these guys are). Say you choose the Outcasts. All of the Corsairs will be camping in Gamma in a large fleet around Crete. Not an option to attack. So, you have to wait for them to move. But, they all move together, so as soon as they see you, you're screwed. I suggest working for the Mollys. Don't ask why, I just suggest it. So I've got a merc... - beunt - 12-16-2009 You're a Merc, work for yourself ! If you choose between one of those two sides, you will close your job market and eventually will be tagged as an outcast or a corsair anyway. So I've got a merc... - Aurigae - 12-16-2009 I suggest to do some escorts from time to time *waves SMC contract* Sometimes gives more cash than bounties do and typically more availible if you know who to poke. So I've got a merc... - Death.RunningVerminator - 12-16-2009 Well actually us the ]bd[ are currently unfriendly to the Outcasts. T'was a while ago this happened. That's why outcast's are no longer on the allied part of the info-card. But i still say buddy-up with outcasts. |
