Custom Guns - legeonation - 06-19-2007 I've been opening up some of the gun files on Hard CMP and looked around. I really don't think it would be too much of a problem to create custom guns and bring them into Hard CMP. However I've got no idea about how to program them. If anyone knows about how to set them up for Freelancer I'd be more than happy to create the graphics. Custom Guns - Tortured_Soul - 06-20-2007 Weapon set-up for Freelancer is, from what i remember, is pretty much a copy, paste and replace job. You take the basic structure of the gun; physical details, muzle velocity, name, information and then tell it that it fires [this] object, which is the actual round that you see flying out. Just by manipulating these two characteristics, you can make any weapon you feels like. Obviously, if you want to go aahread and create somewthing completely new and improved, you need to have a look at modifying the effects scripts, which are limited in what you can create although there are effects files, which when I modded weren't editable/createable, which offers much improved modification ability. I'm sure if you trawled through Lancers Reactor or FL sites, you can find tutorails easy enough, it's truly noe difficult.
