[color=orange]The Past

The Knights of Bretonia, which was founded in 814 AS, was originally founded as a charity group whose goals were to donate items, clothing, and other necessities to the men and women of the Armed Forces, and the family of those who served. They were highly praised, and plenty of them were members of the Working class on Planet Leeds. They had no political influence and worked solely off of donations.

[color=orange]The Present

As the war continued, the Knights of Bretonia continued donating supplies and living necessities to the servicemen and women of the Armed Forces, and to the families of those who served. Up until the Kusari offensive of 817 A.S., when Kusari forces launched multiple surprised attacks into Leeds, gaining the upper hand and pushing the Armed Forces back to Planet Leeds. As the Armed Forces began to evacuate those wishing to leave Leeds to seek a home away from the Bretonian-Kusari war, members of the Knights of Bretonia began packing up their charity operations, moving to varies systems, as well as into Rheinland and Liberty, though they stayed true to their causes.

Franklin Ackerman, a Radical member of the Knights of Bretonia, contacted other groups of Bretonian refugee's located throughout Liberty and Rheinland, calling together secret meetings and began discussing plans that would be seen as terrorist actions. Many members agreed completely, while others gave their support, but would not be officially involved.

[color=orange]The Future

No one in the Knights of Bretonia officially knows what's in store for them in the future. But a few have already agreed it would lead them to serving war crimes. However, many wish to return to a glarious and victorious Bretonia as heroes.

[color=orange]Bases of Operation

(They're all Junker bases. Due to the Junkers and us having a common enemy, and common purpose, we're allowed to dock on Junker stations.)

Rochester Base, New York

Rochester Base, in New York, acts as the Liberty Hub for any and all operations of the Knights in Liberty space. A small force of Knights is kept station side, while a few more work planet side on Pittsburgh, bringing in money to support the cause. Rochester also serves as a staging ground for strikes into the Shikoku system.

Yanagi Base, Sigma-13

Yanagi Base, serves as a staging ground for terrorist strikes into Honshu, and as far as New Tokyo. It also serves as a refueling, and trading post for Knight vessels, passing through or returning to Rheinland.

Kreuzberg Depot, New Berlin

Kreuzberg Depot, acts as the Rheinland hub for any and all operations of the Knights in Rheinland space. Majority of the Knights come from the Stuttgart system, as refugee's have found that the station's air quality was thicker than that of Planet Stuttgart, many prefer to live on Kreuzberg.

Trafalgar, New London

While many refugee's have moved else where, a few have returned to Bretonia and live amongst the Junker population on Trafalgar. They mostly keep to themselves while on the station, and help the Junkers out. This station serves as a staging ground for strikes against Kusari in the Tau region.

Invergordon, Inverness

Invergordon, serves as a trading hub between Bretonia and Liberty for the Knights.

So what do you intend to do exactly?

I'm wondering the same thing, will you be pirating the Kusari and bringing back those supplies to Bretonia? Seems like a modern day Robin Hoods

The Knights of Bretonia - Wolfs Ghost - 12-21-2009

Planning on being a terrorist group, that operate in the interest of Bretonia. Targetting Kusari transports in Rheinland and Liberty, as well as attempting to halt transports bound to Kusari, though not by force, as the Knights are only interested in attacking Kusari to halt it's war machine.

You could vision us as the privateers, however we won't be extorting credits from Kusari traders. We would be like the Xenos and openly firing on them, through roleplay of course.

Edit:

Forgot to mention, we will also be commiting terrorist strikes against Kusari within their own systems. Through Roleplay events, not any of the "olol we has bomb on your base, we blow up base if we don't get fundz. T-Minus 20 seconds" stuff. But more like, Knight Transports bound for Kusari get intercepted by KNF/KSP and destroyed, or something similar.

The Knights of Bretonia - Markus_Janus - 12-21-2009

Hmm another Bretonian backed pirate faction to attack the evil Kusari with.
The difference is of course that this one can go anywhere.
Seems that if you are to be pirating in Liberty and Rheinland perhaps you should put their law enforcement agencies to unfreindly or hostile.
After all you will be breaking their laws and hurting their economies.
Also you don't have Kusari corporations mentinoned in your diplomacy, but I think we know where they will be.
Something to keep in mind is that there are no Junker Bases near Kusari except in Sigma-13, do you intend to be striking from this direction?
Other than that it looks pretty good.

Terrorist, we wouldn't be taking credits and letting Kusari transport live. Rheinland and Liberty governments may as well see us a pirates, as we'll attempt to 'tax' their vessels heading out towards Kusari space. If those transports refuse to pay, then they'll be let go.

If Liberty/Rheinland Police/Military show up, we'll run, as we're not there to make the local law enforcement pissed off at us.

Sigma-13 would be used as a staging ground, and I'll have to add those factions. Thank you.

I must make a point here, you cannot really do anything that xenos can't. So its either full destruction of cargo and sending us home, or taxing us for cash.

There is no really a valid way to destroy a transport.
Also, I suggest placing the Rheinland and Liberty lawful factions to hostile since you are openly endangering ships in their space

The Knights of Bretonia - Zelot - 12-21-2009

Seriously, aside from "We dont take credits, we just blow Kusari's up, but we take credits from other people" and the unlimited ZOI, whats the difference between this and the Privateers? Just seems like a way to get around the restrictions placed on the Privateer ID.

Difference between this and the Privateers is that the Privateers are pirates. Not terrorists. As I said above, if a Liberty/Rheinland transport are bound to Kusari, we'll halt them, attempt to get donation money for the war effort (Not ourselves.) or attempt to persuade them to turn around.

This isn't going to be another Privateer type faction that hides in Kusari space and shouts insults. Nor are we going to operate inside Kusari space with attacks on Military/Police without it being an event. Would rather this be a roleplaying group that adds an extra bit of fun for all sides.

As far as the ZOI goes, I'm still working on it.

You also know you can have an interesting roleplay with me as I've RP'd a Reporter that your men captured a while back. So, please constructive criticism, instead of this turning into a flame war.

Terrorist attacks are to put fear into the people. Our goal is to disrupt Kusari's trade, which doesn't just extend to players. We can openly destroy Kusari NPC transports, as this is a roleplaying game, and I see NPC's as other people. In essence, yeah, we can't destroy a player's vessel, that'd be considered power gaming. However we can surely do enough damage to it, and hurt the players credit amount by them losing their cargo.

They're placed as unfriendly because we won't openly or covertly attack them. Unless we're defending ourselves. This is where we run and hide, which is exactly what we got from the Buccaneers.

As the Knights are Bretonian, they'll still respect Bretonia's economical and military alliances, by not harming Liberty or Rheinland ships.

Actually nix it, I want to see this in game before making any more opinions
