The Freeport Santa Run : Get them X-mas commodities to Manhattan - ArmsAndLegs Guy - 12-21-2009
Seeing as I recall how SLOW christmas eve's day went when I was younger, I decided to help you all spend the time with something fun :
[color=#FF0000]The Freeport Santa Run.
A) Start in a starflea with a Trader ID and 900.000 cr (supplied by Event holder) at Planet Manhattan.
B) Get to Freeports 1, 2, 4, 5, and 9 to pick up the special X-mas Commodities.
C) Return to Manhattan with all 5 different X-mas Commodities within 3 hours.
You decide what routes to take, which stations to go to first, whether you change ships for better survival, hire escorts, or try to make it alone in the starflea against competitors, pirates, lawfulls and who else you may encounter on the way to collect those special commodities.
All 5 commodities must be collected and returned together to Planet Manhattan within 3 hours.
The 5 commodities to be picked up are :
Zoners Eggnog - Packs a punch harder than a Cerberus Cocktail.
Bretonian Plastic Partridge in a Plastic pear tree - The x-mas Decoration everybody hates.
Omicron Sleighbells - Make them hear you flying around.
Rheinland Christmastree - Just because you are in space, you still need a place to put your presents under.
Anti-Grinch Spray - Keep them grumpy jaded green monsters off your ship.
Rules:
Start in the Starflea, with a provided Independent Trader ID and 900K cr. You will be above level 29, so remember, you are legal tender for any pirates out there.
Ship changes are allowed after departure from Manhattan - Moneytransfers from other characters are not. (Yes we can check if you did that).
All 5 commodities must be collected and returned together to Planet Manhattan.
ALL standard Server Rules apply during the contest.
Prizes :
1'st participant back with all 5 items: 75 Million cr.
2'nd place : 50 Million cr.
3'rd place : 25 Million cr.
4-10 place : 5 million cr.
EDIT: Seth Karlo has decided to match the above prizes. So the amount won, will be double those listed above
Unlawfull that stops most contestants either by demanding and getting their cargo, or by killing them : 20 million cr. Proof in the form of the commodities pirated/tractored from the traders must be presented + associated screenshots of the in-rp conversation/killmessage.
Lawfull that protects most contestants by averting an unlawfull from stopping a contestant : 20 Million cr. Proof must be provided by screenshots of the kill message, and in-rp conversation with the saved contestant.
Most bases visited by a contestant : 20 million cr.
Random prizes given at the Janitors discretion : 10 Million cr.
EDIT: The Millers has added a BH Destroyer fully equipped to the prize pot if there are more than 10 contestants. This ship will be given to a random competitor/lawfull/pirate that has participated in the event according to the rules listed. The selection will be done via a random number generator.
How to participate :
Sign up here. Make a new character, put FSR- infront of the name, and fly it to Planet Manhattan, in the New York system. DO not add any weapons/armour or anything else to your character. All characters participating in the Freeport Santa Run must be fresh pristine new characters.
No admittance fee required. Just post your character name here, and have your character ready at Planet Manhattan 24'th December 10:00 GMT.
At Planet Manhattan, you will receive 900K, and a Independent Trader ID. When the start goes, the rest is up to you. Just get the X-mas commodities to Manhattan as fast as possible.
Join the fun, and pass the time.

So get them screenshots of your cargohold as a souvenir while you can.
