GMG - Press Conference on "Sigma Trade Pact" - Gas Miners Guild - 01-01-2010
The doors to the Aomori North Wing Conference Room opened and reporters from various news services and representatives from Kusari, Liberty, and Rheinland corporations flooded in. The GMG Board of Executives and CEO Hoshi Tanaka entered and took their seats in front of the press.
After several minutes, the moderator tapped her gavel.
GMG - Press Conference on "Sigma Trade Pact" - DeathsOverture - 01-01-2010
"Konnichiwa. I am Senior Representative Chiyeko Shunji. This conference has been called to order to discuss the Sigma Trade Pact - a progressive step toward peace between the Guild and House Rheinland.
"This agreement will open many future opportunities for trade between the GMG and Rheinland. Guild ships have been granted docking rights at all Republican Shipping stations in Rheinland, and Republican Shipping vessels have been granted docking rights on GMG stations. This month, the CEO will be negotiating terms of a shipping contract with Republican Shipping to distribute HFuel and Plutonium to Rheinland, the Omegas, and Bretonia. Kishiro will retain exclusive distribution contracts of GMG exports to Kusari, Liberty, and the Taus.
"In addition, in order to ensure mutual security, the agreement will allow Rheinland Military patrols in southern Sigma-13, and Gas Miners Guild patrols in northern Frankfurt. Both entities have agreed to respect the laws, exclusion zones, and embargoes in eachothers' resepective sovereign territories.
"I will now open the floor to questions for the Guild Masters and the CEO."

"'am representin' Junker interests in Sigma-13 an' 'am wonderin' just 'ow far the Rhineland Military's Control extends around Sigma-13, an' Yanagi Station in particular."

Guild Master Nozaki Ichimoto waved his hand to answer the question.
"Rheinland Military patrols will be permitted in the southern half of the system, which includes sectors six through eight. Rheinland Military patrols will also be allowed to patrol the New Berlin jumphole, in response to the Wilde threat. I assure you, the Military patrols will not affect clean up operations nor day to day operations aboard Yanagi. However, Military patrols will be permitted to pursue and apprehend smugglers and pirates that use the jumphole."

A Rheinland Military Officer is seen in front of the press seated on the left side near the Board of Executives, he motions to the GMG CEO, "I would like to say something, If I may." The Officer sits back and waits for an answer.

"Provided you have permission from your CO to speak, then please give your name and rank - and ask your question."

"I do not have a question I have a statement mein kommadant"
The Rheinland Military Officer stands up and motions to the press.
"I am Kapitan Henri Schindler speaking on behalf of Admiral Auztin Engels of the Militar Primary Fleet." He pauses then briefly continues.
"This Sigma Trade Pact is the first step to a prosperous relationship between our two houses, and it will definetly relieve the tension caused since the 80 year war. I hope that with this treaty we can put behind our differences and come together against a common enemy, pirates who we usually underestimate."
the Kapitan adjusts his tie, then continues talking to the Press, "Rest assured we will not bring full on operations into the Sigma 13 divident line, and we will patrol there to help our new friends or to pursue a pirate, smuggler, and to dispatch any fool trying to disrupt trade, also I am glad that the GMG will help improve trade in our economy."
The Kapitan then turns to the GMG executives, "Do you have any concerns or questions mein freunds?"

Guild Master Tamagochi spoke again.
"Not at all Kapitan Schindler.
"At all times the Rheinwehr has conducted itself with the highest regard for our previous Treaty. Indeed it is this respect and discipline that has facilitated this new pact."
Azuki looked out at the crowd and the holo-cameras.
"I would like to stress to all that the Treaty, as far as the Guild is concerned, is wholly in effect as of the Signing Date. We look forward to a new era in cooperation between our two nations."
