Freelancer Mod's Info - Monster - 01-07-2010
When I voted for the discovery freelancer mod today I saw the crosfire 1.8 mod and the shattered worlds mod. I watched some videos on each of these mods. Some effects and systems looked pretty neat. I would like to hear from people who have actually played these mod's and why they decided to use the discovery freelancer mod instead.Also, does anyone know how many people play these other mods, and do they outnumber the discovery players.

No other mod outnumbers Discovery. It had all 2 official servers on the most active server listing last time I checked it.
You'd have to combine Hamburg City + Void to manage that.
I was going to try both these mods. But have not got around to it yet.

That is quite far reaching and rather unfair assumption. I know for a fact my mod is NOT PvP. When we released our 1.2 version, we converted to RP enforced, as per the request of the community. I find a lot of irony in your statement, "filled with people who who can't form a whole sentence." I take great offense to that, since it is my duty to defend my community. However, I take solace in the fact that, in your case, it is simply the "pot calling the kettle black".

No, they do not outnumber Discovery players. I can only speak for my mod, but we are one of the newer mod's which hasn't really advertised.

It's the majority of other communities that run PvP servers and the mods they play are made only for PvP servers. Not all of them.

Not just us. Other mods have it as well.
For example, Shattered Worlds. Although... Their OORP rule isn't emergency only. They're allowed to use 'ooc:' and '\\' at any time, if I remember correctly.

Ive played both mods and found them to be quite enjoyable. The Crossfire Sol system and Secrets are the thing I found amazing about CF.
In Shattered worlds, it was the Star spheres. They really wowed me.
But I dont know. There is just something about discovery that made me want to keep playing it. Even when I knew no one in the community.
The other mods...I play them for a bit. I go off them very quick.
