Spyglass and Osiris - Pinko - 01-11-2010

Alright, they're stolen and all, I understand. But, Liberty lose 2 Super secret prototypes, AND their related bluprints? Why can't Liberty build those two vessels?

EDIT: And, when you think about it, would it be possible for the LSF to get those ships with an SRP?

Spyglass and Osiris - Prysin - 01-11-2010

because they actually, LOST the original blueprints

Spyglass and Osiris - Reverend Del - 01-11-2010

As I stated in the Skype chat, yes to a SRP spyglass, no to the Osiris, there's back story for the Osiris being irreplaceable.

Spyglass and Osiris - Unseelie - 01-11-2010

For the stupid, what makes the Ossie irreplaceable, if the Order are building duplicates?

Spyglass and Osiris - Reverend Del - 01-11-2010

Orillion and the folks who stole the original Osiris, were the folks who designed it, they took the plans, the research and the ship, they destroyed all copies and ran off to live a life of nastiness with the Order. I'm reliably informed this is supported in the original design documentation.

The Hackers were not so thorough.

Spyglass and Osiris - Tenacity - 01-11-2010

The spyglass thing... never seemed proper to me, I dont see how the hackers, as intelligent as they are, would manage to get into alaska without being detected, and get out with a ship that has no cloaking device or sensor jamming technology. It all seemed made up just for the purpose of giving the hackers a battleship, IMO.

The Osiris, on the other hand - it was a one of a kind ship, all information, data, and material related to it's construction and layout were kept in one place: juneau shipyard. Orillion was not working alone when he stole the ship, he had some of his lower ranking officers helping him out, and they were part of the Order of Cincinnatus - the most highly talented and best trained covert ops group in sirius. Once the ship and it's records had been taken from the shipyard's database, they were able to escape due to the experimental cloaking device the Osiris already had equipped.

as i said

research were stolen and lost...

EDIT: Misread a little, removed failure of a reply

People are gonna yell at me for this one, but, Hellfire Legion. Ex Liberty military, and to my knowledge first official faction to have a Spyglass. (No, I don't care that you technically had one first Rob ;p)

As far as an LSF Spyglass goes, I actually had the idea to roleplay one of these awhile but, but now that I'm the resident Spyglass person or something like that I think it'd sort of be beating a dead horse.

Emm? are you sure they stolen the ship, not the blue prints of it? which were later developed by Order, and shared with Corsairs to help the poor desperete order out?

Or you just making stuff up?

But perhaps I missing some info, then please light me (srsly)

Spyglass and Osiris - Tonguedrum - 01-11-2010

So spyglass is originally an LSF ship too?

Well... it WOULD be more logical for the LSF to have those huge things instead of a bunch of pirates.
