My LAC keeps shaking... - silverleaf - 01-12-2010
I would just like to complain (for a lack of a better word) about the problem with ly liberty assault carrier.
When I use the autopilot it keeps shaking up and down. Not only is it bad RP, but is bad for my eyes as well.
Wonder if there are plans to do something about it.

Sell the Liberty Assault Carrier, and buy a smaller vessel like the Liberty Gunboat.
Problem with shaking is thereby solved, although I fail to see how a shaking vessel makes bad RP interaction with other players.

It's the side effect to the anti-spin thing when you bump into things. I don't know if they're gonna fix it or if it will just stay this way.
I'm pretty sure all the battleships have this problem.

Quite possibly there were accusations that the pilot was drunk or some such. This -is- Liberty we're talking about.

Don't ever fly a Rheinland BS with autopilot.
Whenever Admiral Malte orders to use it, the vomit bags are beeing handed out to the crew.
Not fun to have over thousand men repainting the interior....
No seriously. Just don't use it. Flay manual and everything is fine. I am happy to have the spinning fix for ships.

Indeed, it is needed evil ,make way-point start the auto pilot, wait a few seconds till the your crew adjust the coordinates and hit the free fly button. It works.

Yeah but is it a complex problem and thus hard to solve, or likely to be solved in the future. My other capships in the past didn't have this problem, wonder if dreads have it? I may consider downgrading to a dread as its better at sniper warfare (my kinda warfare, though people like to ram me... I HATE RAMMERS).
Seriously. do they HAVE to come to point blank range and start motaring me (and miss half the time)?
Or bombers, one ram per snac? Can't they fricking AIM?
Ah... being rammed all over, just one hazard of capship life.
Hows this related to the thread? Every time they ram me, I get off course, have to set autopilot again.

Your choice - your battleship can bounce around like a yo-yo when you go through an asteroid field - or you can deal with a bit of wobble while on auto-pilot cruise.
Note as well that this is NOT just YOUR battleship. It's ALL battleships. But the anti-bounce thing works for all large ships, transports, cruisers, and battleships.
But - as the man said, you have issues with your battleship wobbling, we'll be GLAD to fix it for you. One starflier, coming up, as per the implied request...
(Oh, and I know you've been reminded in the past - search IS your friend. Use it - and then stop posting topics again that were discussed months ago.)
