Corsairs, who are they? - ... kur nubÄ—go? - 01-27-2010 This came up to me after having a conversation with Ivan. Seems we have diffrent pointsof view about this. And seems it triggered me to know "what community thinks". So here I make a pool. If there is no correct answer please select other and explain what it is then. well thanks in advance for your attention. Seems the poll thing haven't worked so gonna ask manualy, they are a: 1. House much likely like the other ones. 2. Underdeveloped house 3. Criminal organisation 4. Bunch of pirates. Or something else ? Edit: I won't try to convince anyone with my points of view, only want to see what people thinks. Corsairs, who are they? - Barricade - 01-27-2010 I would say they try to be/become a 1."House like the other ones". Actually they are 2. an "Underdeveloped house" for me. I know the Benitez', but more and more HAF's appear. And there are the |Sails, too. There are many many problems ( Outcasts ? ) to be solved, before it can be seen as a "sixth" house. And seems it triggered me to know "what community thinks". I would suggest that they could be considered a House much like the others though underdeveloped. As a result of their being underdeveloped have taken to organized criminal activity to feed their masses and produce their necessities. And finally, pirating is their major criminal focus. I vote 2, 3, and 4. Corsairs, who are they? - Stoat - 01-27-2010 For me the corsairs are a wannabe house. They have a core governmental structure back in Gamma, and from there they try to influence the various factions within the Corsairs, but their control is far from complete. Most corsairs are still pirates at heart, out for their own gain. There are times that their own ends match those of the "government" back in Gamma, and at those times they will form a formiddable opponent. So that'd be a 2 from me I guess Corsairs, who are they? - Akura - 01-27-2010 2, 3, and 4. They love their crime, and they are more of a mass of war tribes than an organises government. Corsairs, who are they? - Heraklion - 01-27-2010 I'de say "2. Underdeveloped house" at this state for "1. House much likely like the other ones." we have to many pilots who aren't aware of things like respect, honor (and RP) for "3. Criminal organisation" we aren't active enough outside corsair space (lately all the "action" finds it's way to Gamma) for "4. Bunch of pirates." ...hmm... there's only 1 active group of pirates, that's Sails, Of course there are others who try to pirate as well. But they don't put the needed RP in to it... So for now I say with number 2, hoping to become a number 1 some day :yahoo: Corsairs, who are they? - HAF-C-Aldebaran - 01-27-2010 The corsairs would be a house more. but poverty-stricken For these points would say that 2 led to the 4 and then to 3 Like said Heraklion ' Wrote:So for now I say with number 2, hoping to become a number 1 some day :yahoo: I expect the same Corsairs, who are they? - SMI-Great.Fox - 01-27-2010 If the cosairs became a house I think that the first thing built would be a casino right outside Crete.... Heck it could be called "Pirate Bay"..... it be a great place to hang out .... or get hanged.... Corsairs, who are they? - lolciclepops - 01-27-2010 Out of those options, it appears I too will have to be voting on option two. I mean, the Corsairs, much like the Outcasts have the proper form and structure to become somewhat like a house - however, past events have hindered them from doing so, not to mention the way they act. Of course, then there's that old thing about the Outcasts and Corsairs forming some kind of alliance to take down sirius... (*cough* not likely) Corsairs, who are they? - Exsiled_one - 01-27-2010 Ask yourself a different question guys. Would Corsairs and Outcasts become houses if they didn't land where they landed? I think the answer is obvious there. Perhaps its something non Mediteranian people won't comprehend but I see entire Hispania filled with passionate people. Just like they can be united in dance and song, they can be united in hatred as well. That's why you have OC - Corsairs war, and that's why you have Corsairs as an aggressive house in my opinion. Their lack of food / habitable planets is what forced them to reroute all their energy into fighting and smuggling. United in their hate for others, who have but do not want to provide, they waged war against their neighbours. For me, Corsair can be a pirate, ofcourse. He just needs to equip that pirate ID then. Corsair ID represents something much much better, or much much worse, depends on what side of the gun are you. |
