You don't need to set up a character - typing in the necessary restart command will place you in the cockpit of a front-line fighter in the conflict between Kusari and Bretonia. Ships involved may attack each other freely. The underlevel rule does not apply to ships created for this event, nor does the re-engagement rule. But bear in mind, you will have no credits on the respawned ship and cannot re-stock. If you transfer cash from another character, we will have your thumbnails removed. Do not stray into the combat zone if you are not involved. Anyone interfering with this combat operation faces severe penalties. Pick a side. Make a new character. It's recommended that you use names that will identify you easily in case you want to arrange numbers for a fight but this is not absolutely necessary Type in the restart code listed above. You will be kicked and when you log in you will find your ship is now a Mark 1 Heavy Fighter stationed on the front-line in the war between Kusari and Bretonia. Proceed to the combat zone near Stokes Mining Field. Destroy the enemy. Show no mercy. The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - Lutz - 02-06-2010 I like the idea a lot would bring some more fun into the wohle war. I would defenitly try it out. The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - Birdtalon - 02-06-2010 Yes. This is brilliance. I would do this. You are win. The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - Benjamin - 02-06-2010 If the whole game was more like this we'd probably all have more fun. The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - MrHeadphones - 02-06-2010 I only really see one problem with this: Crusader: 6 / 0 Opt. weapon class 3 Max. weapon class 5 Additional equipment * 1xCD/T * 1xCM * 1xM Hull strength 2,600 Max. shield class 5 Cargo space 35 units Nanobots/Batteries 20/20 Max. impulse speed 80 m/s Max. thrust speed 199 m/s Power output 2,500 u Power recharge 248 u/s Dragon: 6 / 0 Opt. weapon class 4 Max. weapon class 5 Additional equipment * 1xCD/T * 1xCM * 1xM Hull strength 3,600 Max. shield class 6 Cargo space 40 units Nanobots/Batteries 26/26 Max. impulse speed 80 m/s Max. thrust speed 199 m/s Power output 3,400 u Power recharge 345 u/s The dragon is stronger, has more hull, bigger powerplant, more regens and probably turns better than the crusader. This won't exactly be a fair fight. Maybe if we tweaked it by giving the kusarians class 4 shields and guns or perhaps the Bretonians better mines or someone on hand with spare regens for them, then that problem could be solved, but getting the handicapping right could be difficult The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - Thurgret - 02-06-2010 I'd be interested. The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - Blitzy - 02-06-2010 I will certainly be taking part, no doubt enrolling as one of the Bretonian defenders. It'll be an excellent opportunity for people to get a first-person perspective of what exactly is going on within the battlegrounds of the Tau War. Excellent event idea. Totally want more. The War In Leeds - The Battle for Stokes Mining Field - Athenian - 02-06-2010 There is certainly a slight difference between the ships. The Dragon can actually mount a better shield, but I made the set ups as even as possible. There are obstacles to /restart characters....anything that involves too much money could easily be abused to make fast and easy cash. Otherwise I'd have used Templars and Chimeras. I'll check the regens and the possibility of smaller shields. But this won't ever be perfectly even.
