Let's Make Something clear - The Assassin - 03-04-2010 They are not Liberty Sovereign space. They are not Rheinland Sovereign space. This is mostly an indie problem. You cannot enter it and claim it as your space just to remove someone in it. They're still independent worlds that were not conquered by any side. Okay? Okay. Let's Make Something clear - schlurbi - 03-04-2010 Independent Space also means no Laws, ends up that Piracy isn't illegal, same as there isn't any smuggling, because there is no Law saying that the Cargo you have is Contraband. Means that there is no Bounty to claim for an illegal Act. Let's Make Something clear - Alex. - 03-04-2010 Yeah, some random indie RM bomber stopped my smuggler at the Hamburg gate in Hudson a few days ago. Sat there and listened, he basically told me to drop it, then waited for me to go away (he couldn't carry the cargo, and I knew when I went away he would destroy the Slaves). Dunno if he can do that. (Although it didn't effect me much in the end, I sat at just within 1k from the cargo, tractored and hit cruise:D) Let's Make Something clear - The Assassin - 03-04-2010 ' Wrote:Independent Space also means no Laws, ends up that Piracy isn't illegal, same as there isn't any smuggling, because there is no Law saying that the Cargo you have is Contraband. Not exactly true, though. There are military patrols to contain Piracy in those system, but they are not to anyone. Let's Make Something clear - schlurbi - 03-04-2010 [19:01:57] Christycupcakez (schlurbi): No Law = Nothing illegal, tho' Cops will still force you to drop Slaves or Cardamine. [19:02:32] Christycupcakez (schlurbi): And possible remove you, because you would be a Threat and possibly entering their House Space. Let's Make Something clear - mwerte - 03-04-2010 It might not be illegal, but who's going to punish them for stopping smuggling? It's not that, what I'm tired to see are the RM BS/LN Dreads going ''LEAVE LIBERTY/RHEINLAND SPACE!'' Let's Make Something clear - teschy - 03-04-2010 In roleplay, certain groups or factions might claim that system as theirs. Nothing wrong with that. It's all confusing due to the war. Yes, but it still isn't a sovereign system. Let's Make Something clear - kuth - 03-04-2010 ' Wrote:Yes, but it still isn't a sovereign system. Doesn't change the fact that they claim the system. It is fully within RP for a Liberty or Rheinland military unit to come after you in Hudson/Bering if you are doing something they deem illegal. You think the US would simply let a man with a nuclear device roam freely in internatinal waters? They aren't US waters, but the US sure as hell isn't going to let him roam freely out there. Same applies here. |
