Just wondering if having a Freelancer ID with a Freelancer IFF would work? Have the IFF Tag linked to the Freelancer ID so therefore, even though you are friendly with certain factions, it would not accidentally fly the wrong Tag? What are your thoughts on this?

My thoughts are that this is a really odd question, from what I could make out you are asking if having a Freelancer ID and IFF can 'work'.. of course it can?
I'm not seeing the problem here.

This is the result of high restrictions and a thousand and one rules that complicate the feeble mind, forces random cabbages to ask if using the same id and iff is allowed... What next..

No, what I think he's asking is we should have a Freelancer IFF to match the ID. He may be unaware that such a thing already exists.

If you're wondering how to get the FL IFF, it's easy. Easiest IFF to get, as a matter of fact. Fly yourself out to Barrier Gate in Coronado. Go into the bar, and try to get three people offering the FL bribe at the same time. If the bartender's not offering it, log out and log in until he is. Once he is, go to the equipment room and back to the bar until two other people are. Take all three. DO NOT take just one bribe and leave. Freelancer rep is nearly impossible to fix once you screw it up. After the triple bribe, your FL rep should be at full, and you should have the tag. If you have another tag already, use /droprep until you've got the FL tag.

Hopefully that helps.

So yes, basically all the generic IDs it works for (including the 'sluggler' and 'pirat' ones, eh Kelt?). Alternatively, you can just have no IFF.:P

Freelancer IFF/ID - Thurgret - 03-08-2010

Having a freelancer IFF has on a few occasions caused people to cry out in dismay and proclaim 'you are freelancer you cant pirat'.

No IFF works just as well. Depending on the situation, you might need to droprep on occasion to keep it that way.

By the way, fix'd.

I get the "You cannot pireate me with that affiliation from most traders I stop." Forget the fact my ID says I can pirate you.

Honestly? I like the IFF........it makes them less caustious to see a green IFF. I can then haz my way with them.

OP's question? Not sure I understand what he is asking.
