the new gunship includes features modern state-of-the-art engines that offer a new and innovative cooling system - and as a super special.... fancy lights. specially derived nomad technology offers great agility and a more powerful and efficient energy to thrust efficiency.
the new shape allows for perfected space, nebula and atmospheric manouverability. - and all that in a package that is even smaller than the current gunship - while offering more comfort and space for the two pilots team.
ok - thats all just advertising. - but thats how i think one of the offsprings of the BHG warfare with the nomads might look like. a fancy ship - that uses elements of an enlarged starflier, a BHG gunship and organic shapes.
might as well mesh it into a wreck - so it can be placed as a "failed" prototype somewhere:laugh:

the current one is a much better model than this one, personally. plus, i dont see any need to replace that model, its fine. if you really want to replace a model, you could try either the Lib BC or the Lib carrier, to be fair.

Looks great, but here is all 6 turrets are watching forward, its not good. Bottlenose have only 4 turret shooting forward and it fit good with that ship agility and size.
What about Corsair gunship? Or Battlecruiser? Pl0x ^^

Agree with the current one being better, this looks kinda SHF-ish to me.
I also agree that if you want to model something you should go for Liberty Carrier replace.

not to worry, frozen - the current gunship won t be replaced - its too much a spot of arguments. - the current model is OK... its retro.
mind, this is just a prospect of what effects the BHG research might have on their future (--> future - that is ... sometimes in the distant near future maybe ) ships.
the only actual use for something as progressive is as a wreck indeed. wouldn t even need to drop anything - just "tell a story" - we don t have enough storytellers ingame to be discovered... or ... there is room for a lot more.
edit: ships i intent to actually add as playable ships are placed into the "ship submission" subsection... ships i like to have a discussion about are placed in the developement section.

fair enough. i still say though, every ship design you make that isnt meant for inclusion, make a statement in big size 7 red letters "THIS SHIP AINT FOR SUBMISSIONS, BUT FOR ****SNGIGGLES!":D

i don t do the lib BC - i have presented 3 revised versions ( http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc79/Ji...revisedLABC.png ) - one of which i was very fond of - and i was told several times "there is no need to replace it"
and i won t replace the lib carrier, cause xing has taken that spot already with a nice replacement model ( and a fairly ... interesting skinning job )
i focus mostly on zoner designs anymore, cause those are the ships i know and the ships i can deal with the most. other ship designs are only worked on - when i have a definite and 100% request by both, a majority of active players AND the official factions.
whats presented aside from that are subjects to discuss progress and future designs. - regard it as ongoing lore or just playing around with possibilities.
personally - i do like to entertain myself with thinking of how future shiplines might look like - but really - the only ships i will progress this thought in FACT are zoner ships - which are supposed to "develope" with each update - ...
