In the WTS ship archive i've found the Omega Destroyer of Babylon 5. This ship would be a good Battlecruiser of IC-Company. Called the Dauntless class.
Background: The BHG even along with their destroyers and battleships proved themself unable to handle the uprising criminal activities.
So, IC had to invest in their own fleet for a better protection of the trade lanes and jump gates. They made an agreement with Liberty Navy to develop a mixture between destroyer and battleship. The result was the Dauntless class. It is equiped with eight gunboat turrets to fend of fighter attacks and four battleship turrets to deal with stronger enemies like gunboats and cruisers. It has a good armour similar to the battlestar. For long range patrol missions it has a big holdsize, maybe 1800 for food, water and captured outlaws. Its sensors are one of the best available in sirius. Only the notorious Spyglass is better equipped.
To avoid problems IC gots the transit and patrol permission of the governments of Liberty, Bretonia and Rheinland. Only the Kusari government has refused to give a permission. They won't have such capable ship in their systems, which is not under their control.
In the first three months the Dauntless ships were in use, the shipping companies reported a decline of criminal activity along the trade lanes, but not an end. In the future the dauntless has to prove its worth furthermore, from the viewing angle of its enormous costs for development and construction.

Now your comments.

An interesting Idea, but it would be good to see some pictures to see if this ship would properly fit in with the Discovery universe.

Thing to remember though, IC is a cooperation, and while they would have some ships to defend them selfs, they would leave most of the fighting to the military.

GMG is a non-government organization, and they were able to hold Rhineland to a stalemate for 80 years. Freelancer companies have as much in common with medieval baronies as they do with modern commercial enterprises. They have relative autonomy in those border worlds where they could build pretty much anything they wanted to.

Igiss doesn't want anymore non-FL-themed ships; I must say your chances are slow.
