Description:

Howmany Juggernaughts the Zoners may have. Ther are a very few. For protecting and supplying the freeports in the edge worlds, especially in nomad space the Zoners developed a ship, wich is easier and cheaper to build.
As big as a destroyer the new "Fearless" class offers a medium armoury and an armament of nine gunboat turrets. In the front wings is enough cargospace to work as a transport (801 units) and with the powerful engines and thrusters the ship has a maneauveribility similar to the Corsair "Huntress" cruiser.

But.. is it a gunboat, or is it a.. destroyer?

9 turrets seems a bit much for a GB, especially for us peacelovin' Zoners.

I'd think makin' it more defensive in nature would fit our modus operandi, friend.

((Yeah, I know AW is a bit more "throaty", but let's think Zoooner. in the Zooone. nice and Zoooney, eh?)

Yeah to be honest, I'd see Zoners having ships with either extreme agility (Eagle) or extreme armor (Juggernaut), and less in terms of weapons. They would avoid a fight more than stick around for one. I'd say this would work well as a Destroyer not gunboat. Perhaps around the same size as the Kusari Destroyer (it also carries 9 guns, and has great agility for a destroyer).

I place my vote as a destroyer, Its too powerful for a gunboat. And i have to say it looks really neat, and very similar to the Juggernaut in terms of overall design. Good Job!

Thanks for your comments. I just wait for the licensing of my MS to finish it.

About the diskussion gunboat or destroyer: Look for the description. It is as big as a destroyer to have a better hold size than a gunboat. For selfdefense it will be just equipped with gunboat turrets. You may see it as a very strong freighter or a weak destroyer. So it has a lack of maneauveribility to gunboats and not the destructive power of destroyers or cruisers. It follows definitive the intentions of the "peaceloving Zoners";). I just classified the ship to the armament.

If this one is finished and accepted by Igiss, he will decide how to equip. It is important for me to create new ships(including a small story) indifferent for which role and faction it will be definited in the mod.
