How would one become friendly enough to buy one of the Nomad ships?
can someone give me the RP restrictions of a nomad?
Do I need to be part of an official faction to fly a nomad ship?
Do I need to make a special role playing request to acquire a nomad ship?
I understand that in a Nomad ship you are no longer a human, and wouldn't talk like one, you probably wouldn't say much at all.

Basicly only Keepers can fly nomad ships. But you can however make a trail nomad or 'morph'. You need to find a secret nomad system and buy a nomad light fighter there. This is so that people can try RPing as a nomad and get a feel for it. Believe me- it is quite difficult and that is the reason the Keepers are a restricted faction.

Thanks very much for the links. I can't say I read the whole thing, but I think I read the things relevant for me for the time being. could you give me further advice, on creating a trial character, where can I purchase the Nomad morph from, how do I become friendly with that base?

Edit: I did some further research, and am on my way to the shrine. When I get there will I be able to dock, or will the nomad base shoot at me?

The Shrine is a neutral IFF base. You can dock there just fine.
Once you have the morph and the Nomad Trial ID, you can't dock anywhere but the shrine. Have fun!

The admins won't be pissed off with you going to the Shrine. Just continue on your way.

oh yeah and a word of advice - get an AU8 before you actually buy the morph, get ready to become hostile to EVERYTHING(except outcasts). nomads included.
