Website Hosting - Virus - 09-07-2007

I need a few things for the very near future;
  • Free Web Host (Maybe)
  • Domain Name Host
  • Domain Name
That's about it. Preferably all free. I just need to know where to get them and maybe some options (if you have more than one).

Apart from that, I think I should be OK designing the site (it won't be "amazing"). I really am just looking for a way to host a site and have it have a normal domain name (like "Discoverygc.com") for a not so excessive amount (like $100... o.O).

I'm not sure if it is possible (A.K.A. doubt) to get a free domain name, but I'll take what I can get.

I'm actually looking more for the cheapest domain name possible.

Hmm, freewebs offers 25 GB of bandwidth, and a domain name for a hundred bucks a year.

Ah, with the standard bandwidth, it costs only $20 annually.

I think I have gone with every web host avalible :)

http://awardspace.com (Free PHP, MySQL (Forum stuff) no adds ^^ err 5gb bandwidth and I think 500mb hosting)

http://zendurl.com (Will be the best free host when the bugs are ironed out, all of the above and more!)

As for domains:

http://www.godaddy.com (The cheapest and a very respected company) about $9 a year.. A YEAR!!!

All this is based on my experience (I spent ages trying to find good web hosting) use it how you like :)

(May I also suggest using web software like PHP Nuke. It comes with everything you need, forums, templates... Looks good and easy to update)

If any1 needs any help with any web sites/ hosting just PM me (I will not make it for you but I can get it running:P)

Alright, how about an easy to use, yet still useful FTP Client? If possible, it'd be nice to have one for Mac and one for Windows.

Oh, and for PHP-Nuke the website would be http://www.phpnuke.org/, yes?
(So far, thanks goes to Crateria the most. So... Thanks, mate!)
