Equipment Availability - EisenSeele - 04-13-2010

Thrusters, shields, mines, cruise disruptors, scanners, and armor are all lacking buying locations for at least the majority of their respective subcategory articles.

I'm not sure if this is deliberate or not, but if it isn't - could someone fix, or show me how to fix it? (IE what program to use for this information - sorry, I'm rather new)

Equipment Availability - cshake - 04-14-2010

All that info could be added without too much problem, but it requires a good deal of coding on my part, and I have somewhere around 20 pages of research papers to write in the next two weeks.

Be patient, and it can be added.

For the other editors: Get the templates ready of how you want to see the info displayed, and I will (eventually) provide it.

I think the buying location tables used for ships would be fine.

Sorry, I'd somewhat forgotten about this with the end of the semester and all, but today I did the largest section (Shields).

I'll get to the others too, I just can't guarantee a timeframe.

I figure the CDs will just be the same as other missiles, so that's a quick job. The others require new templates, like shields did.

realy appreciating what you did! :D Great job.
looking forward to the rest of the equipment...

Sorry about being lazy.

CDs and Thrusters done today.

Mines, CMs, Scanners, and Armor are left.

I'm kinda dragging my feet because I know I'll have to do it all over again when 4.86 comes out.

CMs and Armor done, now just Mines and Scanners.

Sorry to pop your balloon, but there is already a program that will tell you where, how much, which faction AND show you the apropiate info card for the item/station.

It's called FLSTAT and you can get it....HERE!

Note, this is not my work, it belongs to someone else.

It is darn useful tho!

Sorry to burst your bubble of telling me something new, but FLStat is what nearly everyone uses to update the wiki when they do things by hand. I agree that "It is darn useful tho!", but more so for looking things up yourself than for putting info on the wiki.

When I do my updates I have a set of scripts that do similar things to FLStat, but they're written in php and output raw wiki markup so it just needs a copy+paste. I have done this for everything that FLStat gives (except mines as of yet) and more, and it can be scripted to run automatically to update the wiki after the mod updates with very little time on my part.

Also, feel free to update Countermeasures, Armor, and Scanners details/selling locations with FLStat if you'd rather not wait for me! Or missions offered at bases, rumors said by NPCs, asteroid field loot, equipment that comes with a ship package and the complete price, or uninhabited planet/moon details. (hint: it doesn't have any of those)

OOPS! My Bad, I didn't realise you were coding it for the Wiki.
