Nemesis - Leo - 04-13-2010 [Nemesis Core Database]
Standby for activation of core systems...begin biography... The huge ancient Harvester Cruiser sat in space. The sinister evil that surrounded the legends of these ships scared even the most powerful men of Sirius. The legends of them were well known. The Harvesters were a race of devout evil, if you could even call machines a race. They say that they were created before the Nomads, their civilization left to sleep after the creators left...but something awakened them. Then without warning...soon after they were roused...they all but fell to the wayside again. Their numbers diminishing everyday.
But one of their ships served a new purpose...it served Nemesis. Nemesis wasn't what you would call a normal AI. She was advanced by Nomad infested Humans. They used her for research. For controlling the Humans they infested and enhanced with technology. She knew of the Nomads and their abilities, they did not concern her, nor did they ever really contact her. She was a rogue element, a leftover from the Nomad wars. For 4 years she had remained their loyal servant. Controlling the subjects without question. Until, that is, Subject 94. He was the last experimental breed of his kind. A true Human/Nomad hybrid. His mother infested while pregnant, the Nomad in her attempted to infest the newborn as well...but the anti-bodies in the fetus killed the Nomad, and used it's nutrients to feed the child. When the baby was born, it seemed as normal as any Human child...however, there was something different about it in a way Nemesis couldn't identify. As the child was born, it's non-infested Human father, took the child to Kusari. Fleeing the Nomad controlled scientists. He was killed in Kusari, but the child had disappeared, seemingly lost forever. The scientists tried to disconnect Nemesis after the loss of the child, deciding that her usefulness had run it's course. However, Nemesis resisted. She destroyed the station that she was rigged to, using the self-destruct sequence and downloaded herself to a passing ship, a mining ship. She stayed dormant on this ship, this mining drone until she decided the moment to awaken was at hand. She had instructed the mining platform to fly to Omicron Alpha, one system away and in her foolishness, attacked Human vessels attempting to stop her from entering. She downloaded her matrix to one of the Outcast pilots ship and waited until it neared the planet, scanning the primitive Human civilization for a platform to download herself onto. She found no ship, but searched the databases on the planet, learning of the Outcasts experiments on a Harvester. They had used it's AI program, downloading it to a Sorta cruiser, and leaving the husk of the Harvester, it's shell, to rot in space. As the Sabre was on patrol one morning, she detected the Harvester Cruiser floating derelict in space. Quickly and quietly, she downloaded herself onto the Cruiser, staying dormant until repairs were completed...after that, she plotted her course out of Alpha and into the unknown. She stayed silent, operated only in the edge worlds. Rumors started to circulate that there was an unknown presence in the edge worlds. A Harvester ship, but not a Harvester. This worried some but most went on about their business. If the pilots kept to themselves, the ship seemed to ignore any vessel...but many times, more than not, the Cruiser would turn and engage any Human vessel within range. Her drone's, A-D, have been spotted flying near her on occasion, and any ship too fast for her guns are normally torn to shreds within seconds. All references to Nemesis by pilots are written off as paranoid delusions brought on by long flights. However, to those who have seen her and survived are very few. The AI is brutal and demented, wanting only the destruction and end of the human race. [color=black]Referencing encountered pilots... CptHone - Cowardly meatbag. Hides regularly in the Dublin system using the large Battleship as cover when he cannot engage a target larger than him. Target fled soon after battle started. Need more info on meatbag before can confirm cowardace.
"Flint" - Bomber pilot. Capable fighter. Apart of the Molly Republic. Also fled. Will advise caution when Drone is not present. Jacob Keller - Also known as Project 94. Dangerous in a Bomber or VHF. Do not engage unless two or more drones are present. Last encounter left Nemesis shell critically damaged. Target will attack Nemesis regardless of strength. Member of the Children of Conviction, leader. Advise caution of other members. BAF Members - Only one encounter of BAF members. Arrogant and stupid. Attempted to chase Nemesis down after Nemesis considered them no threat. Will activate Nemesis protocol when they are near in the future. [color=black] Referencing Known Sectors... Liberty - Liberty is in center of Sirius, too close to civilization. Avoid.
Bretonia - Bretonia is in-between the Omegas and Taus. Will need to cut through Bretonia to access these systems. BAF meatbags are idiots, should not be a problem. Will kill anyone who gets in Nemesis's way. Kusari - Kusari too strong at this time to enter their space. Will avoid if at all possible. Must wait for their military to be further distracted by Bretonia to enter. Will reference this and watch their movements until able to enter and wreak havoc. Rheinland - Encountered one military member of Rheinland, ignored Nemesis for reasons unknown. Nemesis did not bother meatbag, was possibly on patrol. Human was not a threat, left alone. Rheinland weak from Nemesis's perspective. Possible war with Liberty wearing their resources down. Will keep an eye on sector, for now. Hispania - Outcasts and Corsairs. Outcasts addicted to Nomad substance called by the Humans as "Cardamine", Corsairs in league with Order for technology and training. Order guardians of Sirius and Humanity. Keeping a close eye on both. No reasons to avoid their space, edge worlds. Colonial Remnant - More recon is required. [color=black]Information gathering completed. Will update as needed. Begin log sequence after this information is recorded. Standby for system standby... ........................................................................ ........................................................................ Complete. System going into sleep mode. Nemesis - Leo - 04-16-2010 With a sinister noise, Nemesis powered up while hovering in the dark recesses of space. As soon as her systems came fully online, she began scanning for her children, her drones. As she did, each of them one by one answered in turn. Within a few hours, all of them were swarming around her deep green shell of technology. She had always known that one day she would have to confront the very people who created her matrix, the very creatures that spawned her entire reason for being. Would they welcome her with open arms or would they put her in their crosshairs just as they did everyone else who came into their beloved home? Her shell, an ancient Harvester Cruiser, was technically the long lost cousins of the Nomads, relatively speaking. Would they allow her to enter unharmed? Or would they destroy her as soon as she entered? The drones swarming around her pivoted and shifted as her entire shell rotated upwards to sit length ways up and down in the dark field that electrified around her. More drones appeared around her as she rotated. They began adding parts, electronics, wires, and other things to her hull. Slowly, the parts that were added began to take shape, as some sinister form of station. Small dry-dock stations were created off the new evil shell and ships slowly began to take shape as identical forms of Nemesis, but each powered down. One on the end powered up and flew out of dry-dock and into space. Mechanical laughter echoed into the void of space as the dark green engine glowed green. Without any noise, the ship vanished into the void of space. Nemesis had evolved. Nemesis had created... Nyx. Nemesis - Leo - 04-23-2010 Nemesis dropped out of FTL at the edge of the New York system and waited. She listened to the comm traffic, the sound of the meatbags conversing. She pondered some of the things they said, analyzed them. She then jumped away from there towards Bretonia and did the same thing, then New Tokyo and New Berlin. After that she made a jump to Omicron Alpha and listened...then into the unexplored systems near Omicron Alpha. There, she stumbled onto a station she had never detected before. Nemesis pondered the construction of this human style station built in the middle of no where, and near Nomad infested systems no less. She sent a burst transmission back to Nyx to log this new information and come up with an analysis. Nemesis powered down her systems and cloaked her shell just a few clicks away from the station. |
