hi all, my computer did a different sort of crash, while installing more ram, i had componets fall off the mother board, I tried to re install them by soldering them back on, (hoping that I had them in the right place, but apparently not, same symptoms, no moniter, no hard drive wind up as a computer would come up, so my characters, the ones that i remember right now is 'Scruffy', 'Sway back Grease Slapper' is out of comission until I can get a new mother board to install the hard drive with.

kewl, it actually sounds like your CPU or Mem slots are not properly installed, make sure both are firmly in place and try again...

Sounds like you damaged it when you tried to resolder the components. Hope you've got enough scratch together to get a new Mobo.
