Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - Politus - 05-03-2010 Well, the SPR was approved, so I hope to get the RP underway ASAP. As y'all find us, I hope that you all enjoy the RP. I should let y'all know, those of us working on this will need friends, accumulated pilots, etc., to accompany the rag tag fleet and to help get it running. If you want to help out, gimme a PM. :) Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - Bobthemanofsteel - 05-03-2010 I'm not actually sure what you're talking about. Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - Dusty Lens - 05-03-2010 The who what? Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - Politus - 05-03-2010 Poke around. I talked about it a while back, finally got the approval, hoping to get it started within the next few weeks. Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - arvg - 05-03-2010 more details, faction data, explanation perhaps? So, The Migrant Fleet is gonna be a ragtag bunch of refugees, Mercs, ex-mercs, traders, and whatever else sticks to the core of the fleet, the Sugar Queen. The Sugar Queen (Sugar.Queen) is a space hulk right now (Barge, no engines, etc.) but upon proven accumulation of a specified amount of various commodities, thanks to whoever helps, and a lot of RPing, it'll be given engines. At the moment, the Sugar Queen is, as I have said, a space hulk. Those who have already joined in on the venture will roleplay the discovery of the Sugar Queen in the East Leeds Smog Cloud. It'll have no engines, so it can't move. The plan is to enlist the aid of various groups to get the bugger repaired and running again, then once it's repaired, e.g. resources accumulated, RP done, screenies taken and submitted to admins, there'll be a great effort to transplant refugees from Leeds to the Barge. It will be, in effect, a mobile city. So far, I think it's gonna be ~15k refugees, ~5k in support goods, and ~5k free space. The free space will, or at least I think it will, serve as our money-maker, allowing the Sugar Queen to serve as a mobile trade hub in addition to the RP hub I think it'll be. Story so far Idea so far The plan is, once repaired, to travel as a migrant population. At first, a retired BAF vet, his buddies from the Queen's Bosom Tavern, and multiple thousands of refugees from the lower Taus, upper Leeds, and planet Leeds itself. Over time, refugees may come and go, and only time can tell what'll really happen. So, I think the idea is pretty cool. Et tu? Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - Bobthemanofsteel - 05-03-2010 Idea is cool... But, who left a Barge there and how was it never found until now? They're not exactly something you just lose in a Smog cloud. Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - SMI-Great.Fox - 05-03-2010 I might actually think of joining up with the migrant fleet in my new ship... My ship may be zoner...but at least it'll fit in with the migrant fleet... Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - Politus - 05-03-2010 ' Wrote:Idea is cool... But, who left a Barge there and how was it never found until now?We don't think of it as exactly a barge, so much as a space hulk. A giant wreck. So far, it's believed that it just drifted in from deep space. The Origin of the bugger is one of the back-stories we're gonna explore.:D Migrant Fleet RP Feedback... - pipboy - 05-03-2010 As a major Quarian fan, I like the general idea. Good luck with it. One problem I can see is getting enough people in the fleet at any given moment to make it feel large. EDIT: Here are a couple links for anyone that isn't familiar with Quarians or the Migrant Fleet.
